Old PKI flat ride question.

There is aboslutly no way that Flight Commander can be on the Brady Bunch episode, for one simple reason, Flight Commander was installed in 1989, and The Brady Bunch episode was filmed in 1978ish

BFSFA, you're close on the location of Sky Pilot, but you're a little bit off. From what I could tell from my pictures, it was actually adjacent to what was then called Hurricane Reef (now Waterworks). From the construction wall I saw, it looks like Drop Zone will be closer to Shockwave.

Well it was roughly in that area & at the time it was added (in 1990 I believe) hurricane reef hadn't been added yet so when you look at pics from 1992 & beyond the sky pilot ride & it's location look a bit out of place.

The site where sky pilot once stood was the former location of the old octopus ride(I hated that thing with a passion) & after sky pilot was removed scrambler was put in it's spot,now of course DZ stands roughly in that location awaiting it's opening in 2003.

I thought the Brady Bunch Episode was filmed in 1973 since that would be one of their last seasons on the air.

I always thought a HUSS Condor would make a great ride for the FC site. But they already have 3 flat rides with a similar ride action.

It would have been a better spot for the giant frisbee also. The area where it is going is already too congested because of the one way in/out.

Never heard that one. I had always heard that because CP was doing waterpark-related things in 1997, that PKI jumped ship on the Intamin drop tower... which went to another park... and expanded waterworks for the 25th Anniversary.
