Old MGM Grand Lightning Bolt for Sale

I'm not sure if this has been brought up before, but I was just brousing through the coasters for sale on ITAL and thought this might be Lightning Bolt. According to RCDB Performance Rides International was contracted to sell rides after the park closed in 2000. Would another ride broker buy a ride just to sell it again? Or did someone buy it and never rebuild it?

I didn't know that thing was still around. Thought it was scrapped!
Yea, that's been listed for several months. I don't see it going anywhere. It looks like a fun ride though.

I saw this when I was looking around for something *evidentiary* in regards to Chiller being sold. AFAIK, Lightning Bolt has been continuously for sale since...(since I was old enough to gamble?)...OK, maybe not quite THAT long. ;)

Good to see the Antons for sale getting sold...who owns Zonga/Thriller now?

Actually it shouldn't even be listed anymore. It's going into a new, smaller family park in Fresno, Ca.

^For that matter, if the rumors about Demon Drop are true, it shouldn't be listed anymore either.

It does look like a fun ride. Too bad I got to Vegas after the park closed.
Is it just me, or do the pics of the ride showing the landscaping/theming look like Maverick in some way? That was just the first thing that popped into my head when I saw it.

I've ridden this ride. It wasn't much other than getting the credit in Vegas while I could about 8 years ago. It was kind of in a western-themey area of the MGM Grand Adventures park as I remember it.

How big was that park? I never saw much about it. I always imagined it being pretty small but maybe it wasn't since people talk of themed areas.
It was very small. The only cool things it had was that coaster, a sky-coaster, a couple of water-rides and a few flats from what I remember.
