Old Indiana Rides Scrapped

I was looking @ the RCDB and noticed that 3 coasters have been completly scrapped @ the park...Did anyone know this...I thought it was shocking...Black Widow was completly scrapped as was little rickies little twister and Wabash Cannonball which is an Arrow Corkscrew (ie Python/Canobie Corkscrew). But Six Flags made a deal to keep the two worst rides in my opinion. The Bobsled ride for some strange reason and the Chaos which was an indoor Vekoma coaster. Appearantly these two rides will be used again...But why couldnt they have sold the rides for parts...IE selling Camden park the computer from Black Widow for them to revive Thunderbolt Express...Or they could of rebuilt Wabash Cannonball somewere...

1. S:RoS @ SFNE 2. Montu 3. Yankee Cannonball 4. Kumba 5. Gwazi 6. Cyclone (SFNE) 7. B:DK

Well, from the looks of it, Thunderbolt Express needs a whole lot more than a computer (and the computer for Black Widow may not be in any better shape anyway if it still exists at all).

Why would they have wanted to relocate an Arrow Corkscrew? I would think that, if anything, they would have wanted parts from the trains or other mechanical stuff to maintain the dozens of Arrows that they have operating!

I think it would be safe to assume that many of the pieces from the Black Widow were used to keep Six Flags' shuttles in operation, i.e. Sidewinder.

Perhaps, but don't forget that those coasters were left, without maintenance, in a field for years, which probably caused those old parts to age even faster. I'm not sure if there was anything worth saving- Sidwinder is probably in better shape than Black Widow was because it is constantly run. And don't forget that Six Flags has Python (one-half of Lightning Loops) in storage at SFA, which is probably being used (or at least kept) for parts.

Much like Black widow,SFA's Python has also been sittiing in a field next to Batwing exposed to the elements for 5 years now.

If there are any usable parts left on it they would've gotten them by now,the only thing I havn't seen from the ride is the train but I bet they probably keep it in the maintenance building instead of in the field where the track is.

The trains for Wabash Cannonball were sent to SF Belgium for use on the Tornado (prototype Vekoma, its a Corkscrew coaster). Unfortunately... when maintenance opened them up, they were in worst shape than the train that was running on it!

And what is wrong with keeping a Bobsled? Screamin' Delta Demon kicked ass at Opryland. (Although those things require far too much work than any Six Flags park I know of would be willing to put up with)

While Chaos was nothing amazing, I'm glad they kept it because it one of the only Two Coasters of that type built.

Best news ive heard in a long while. Chaos P0wned. If they rebuild that thing...well...you can count me in. The thought of those 80 passenger trains makes my mouth water...
