old indiana future looking grim

premier ( now owners of sixflags ) doesn't seem to be doing anything to the defunct themepark old indiana funpark. I called to get some info on the park today and the lady told me they had no plans of rebuilding the park any time soon. She also told me That premier had their hands full with all of the other sixflags parks and they have poured enough money into rebuilding other parks that the company was not even looking at indiana for building a park there. This is very disapointing condsidering old Indiana is now basically a tomb for all the defunt rides premier has bought.

could this be the final blow to old Indiana funpark?
Darn...that is disappointing. Well, I suppose if we never see Six Flags in Indiana, we still have Indiana Beach and Holiday World...heck, 4 great CCI coasters in one state, not too bad!

Now bringing you Cornball Express exclusive information & pictures - http://coasterachive.cjb.net
Yeah you could look at it that way but it still is so disapointing. A big park would have made both holiday world and indiana beach way more competitave. But now we can go back to getting a coaster every seven years. That has to be the suckiest thing premier has ever done. They could have at least sold the park to cedar fair or busch gardens or something instead of using it as a freaking graveyard for defunct coasters and flat rides. Well This has to be the worst news I heard all month.

We'll see what happens. I think they will re-open it soon. Theres a lot of ways to make that place profitable

What's wrong with getting a quality coaster evry seven years? Would you rather have a clone evry year or an amazing wodie? It is up to you.

You guys still don't seem to understand that Premier is now Six Flags, Inc. Anytime that you refer to the owners of the Six Flags Theme Parks, you always say Premier. Last Summer Premier officially changed its name to Six Flags, Inc. So can we set this straight now? *** This post was edited by SFSL on 3/22/2001. ***

That's exactly what I said before. Hoosier Hurricane and Cornball Express are seperated by 7 years. We are not complaining about Indiana's coaster collection, we're just saying it would be nice if Old Indina Fun Park was brought back to life.

I stil predict a coaster growth in Indiana very soon. The population is growing quite strong now as land costs are low, and salaries are pretty steady
