SDD and Chaos were fun rides. I rode them back in the day too. According to RCDB, both are rusting away in a field at Old Indiana.

aah I miss those rides - they were so much fun, especially chaos. Unfortunitely, I think they both might have been turned into scrap. It is very unfortunate - especially for Chaos. It was such a unique, fun ride that would have fit in well anywhere.
Chaos was an amazing attraction for its time. 80 passenger trains. (2 in each row, making for a very long train) What rollercoaster has an 80 passenger train? None that I can think of. It would get my vote for best indoor rollercoaster in a heartbeat. Theres an awsome chaos site that im sure most of you allready know about. http://www.access2control.com/index2.htm

It hasnt been updated in ages, but still a wealth of information, photos, and sound bytes.

The Millenium Force ride Ops: Squishing you where it counts since 2000. Track Record: 89 coasters
So what's the latest on the Old Indiana property?

Last I read, SF sold the property to someone who wanted to turn the land into a preserve or something like that. Also, some of the rides are still on site.

Is that accurate? *** Edited 2/11/2004 6:37:22 AM UTC by Chitown***

My favorite MJ tune: "Billie Jean" which I have been listening to alot now. RIP MJ.

I though that Six Flags sold the property and all the remaining Opryland rides were scrapped...

Anyway, Chaos was fun, but the ride totally relied on the effects, such as the clocks, the strobes, so on. When they started to fade away, the ride was nothing except a big spiraling downward donut. (Then they tried to re-theme it to a nuclear reactor explosion, and that was worse...)

I myself miss the Screamin' Delta Demon and Grizzly River Rampage much more, though Chaos was about as unique as coasters get.

Grizzly River Rampage is now at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom.
Rafts and mechanics you mean Jacob. The original GRR course is still there on the grounds of Opry Mills Mall. You can still see all the artificial rocks and boulders right by the parking lot. Kinda hard to move that up to Louisville hehe. I so want to climb down in it and explore though! I think the tunnel with the grizzly bear and rapids was the best effect ever built on a rapids ride. *** Edited 2/12/2004 2:24:05 AM UTC by thrillerman1***

I don't think the rafts at SFKK are from GRR. If memory serves me, weren't GRR's boats high capacity seaters? Like 8 or 10 people?

I think SFKK's only holds 6.

I checked, GRR was a 12-seater. Thus SFKK's rafts were not from Opryland.
