Old Chicago footage from the first indoor amusement park.

Caught this on Youtube. The footage is from the movie "The Fury" which shoots scenes from Old Chicago. First scene is of the mall area of the park which themes an outside village. The rest is of the amusement park itself with plenty of rides that it had.

It's ashame this park didn't last. It reminds me so much of Mall of America but on a smaller scale. You will see a Paratrooper, an Enterprise, a Scrambler, a Roundup, a Ferris Wheel, the Haunted House,a Chance Toboggan coaster, and an Arrow Looper coaster. (Chicago Loop).

But the Chicago loop didn't have a loop, but 2 corkscrews instead.

I don't think this was the first indoor amusement park. The short lived World of Sid and Marty Krofft at the Omni plaza in Atlanta, predated Old Chicago. I'm sure someone will soon post actual dates. etc.
Actually Steeplechase Park on Coney Island predated them both by over a half century.

Wow, no fence around the paratrooper. Must have been just for the show right?

The Chicago Loop only had four cars on a train?
