Old Bob-Lo boat courts Sandusky for home

Hey that's some good news.

Those old boats were wonderful for trips to Boblo. It would be great if they could still be enjoyed by everyone. Sandusky would be the perfect place! I wonder if CP would be able to utilize it? Take people for rides in the bay or something, with dinner. Great possibilities!

I've ridden the Columbia. The Bob Lo boats epitomized the Great Lakes excursion steamers. Big triple expansion reciprocating engine which you could actually see working. I hope they're successful. We've lost too much of  Great Lakes history already.

That would be SO COOL. Some of my best childhood memories were riding the bob-lo boats to Boblo and spending the day at the amusement park. They almost always had a band playing on the trip back. I read about the purchase of one of the boats by a fellow, and it would be great if they could locate it near Sandusky.

That would be awesome! I have a picture from when I was little of me aboard one of those Boblo Island boats. Also, somewhere around this house, is a picture of me and my dad in one of the log flume rides. I would love to go back on one of those boats :)
