In a post welcoming Dwane to Coasterbuzz someone told him that he was lucky that he missed the wrath of CPNut and had several links to about 5 of cpnut's posts.

My job does not have that technology unfortunately, so I'm kinda stuck there.

Meantime I guess I just have to not care who you think I am because I know who I am. In regards to that, if you are going to reply to any of my threads, please be sure to include the actual subject matter of the thread, it's only fair.

You know darn well that you can delete topics you created.

Uh, Colonel, you are wrong, we cannot delete or close threads/topics...Only Jeff and the mods can...

I am not sure what the hell any of you kids are talking about, but as for the question goes, Geauga Lake had a kickin Oktoberfest. The food was great, which was an improvment over the overrated food at the park, the music was non stop, and they had this game called the 'beer slide' for us college agers, which was quite popular.
If you started a topic and you delete your first post using the "edit" button the entire thread is del-teated (deleated for you non Strong Bad-watching folks).

I was kidding. There wasn't anything else to accuse him of for lying or playing dumb. So I made something up.

OK, back onto topic...SFWoA Oktoberfest:

As one who has gone to Oktoberfest every year they have had one (and mind you, I actually don't drink), this past year 2002 was BY FAR the best one they have EVER had!

Oktoberfest atmosphere is best described at Fair meets Amusement park meets bar meets Spring Break, etc. They have TONS of decorations relating to fall and harvest time...it really puts you in a great mood. One of the best "holiday" (if you call it a holiday) deocorating jobs out of any park I have seen. You basically name the food, they have it (even if it's not related to Germans). On top of all the food they have the ever popular Beer Sliding Contest. They have a few bars set up that you buy a draft for a dollar and they try to slide it on or near a certain mark, and yes, this is an actual tournament, I finished 2nd last year (and no, you don't have to drink it.

They have MANY MANY MANY bands from around and outside the state come to play. LOTS of variety, everything from the great Polka bands to some great metal bands. All ages all music. It's VERY hard not to get into everything they have. They take out the arcade games and they make that building into a polka and square dance tournament area.

There is also many german games, pumpkin carving, and just German stands. This is definetly one of the best times to visit the park. It's quite crowded if the weather's more summer like because many N.Ohio people consider it one last drink to the summer. I recommend this time to visit to anyone who wants to experience Oktoberfest! It's not your typical SFWoA amusement park...it just seems to take on this strange personality all on it's own Hope this helps a little and enjoy the off season!!

RollerCoasterGod: Thank you so much for that info. That's what I was looking for. I'm glad to hear I really wanted to go. I was hoping it would be the way you described. I hate beer but since you don't have to drink it, maybe I'll try the game. It sounds like a cool place to be that time of year. I love the fall. Is the Oktoberfest on both sides of the park now that it is Six Flags? The other reason I wanted to wait until fall to go is to visit the sealife side when it's not 100* outside.
