Ok "celebrity" buzzers, how'd you get on?

If you frequent Coaster Buzz and join ACE and your local club, pretty soon you will have more invites than you can possibly attend. Note there are many other good reasons for club memberships. I'm not into coaster politics or anything, but this spring I received invites for media days from as far away as Indiana and Georgia.

Aside from getting your arm on television, (That's all of me that I could see last night.:)) these shootings are downright interesting. You get to meet interesting people, and you get to see some of the behind the scenes activity at the park. Don't expect it to be like ERT though. You spend most of your time sitting around waiting while they work on camera setups and such.

That's exactly it, Jim. Like I said I have no desire to be on camera, I'd love to be in attendance to watch it all go down, talk coasters with other enthusiasts, etc. It all sounds pretty interesting to me.

Lord Gonchar, I am the same way. I do not want to be on camera I just like being there to experience the whole filming process and talk with other enthusiasts.
Just hang around here and maybe join some clubs and you will also get plenty of time to talk with other enthusiasts and see the behind the scenes productions on these shows. I had my first experience earlier this year at SFOG and I had a great time and look forward to doing it again someday.

I would love to be on a show if I was asked but I don't. I am a member of ACE and I post a lot here but I don't do it to get popular or anything. I just do it because I love roller coasters.

I wanna know what got Ellissa White on basically her own show..lol. It was like "coastertime with ellissa and ian". she definately got the most on-air time...shes sort of a celebrity in our lil coaster world now. lol! Maybe it was her whole thing with Robb Alvey on Ghostrider! perhaps?

Should I remind everyone that the entire first season of The Simpsons is available on DVD, and the second is due out soon? :) Mmmmm.....extra features......LOL. I have tried to join a taping on a couple of occasions but couldn't due to time restrictions. For those in OH and Calif, you'll most likely get your chance someday since there are new programs all the time.

Model coasters and rides

Just so everyone knows - that kid with the nice butt checking lapbars on Magnum was me! ;) About 2 seconds of exposure for my backside and about 2 X .2 seconds on my face across the platform with my thumb up! :) It was just being in the right place at the right time. I missed the morning photo shoot (7AM and I came in at 11:30) but I remember them being up on the platform shooting. It was fun trying to duck around the camera man to get the train cleared! :) I had no clue I'd be on at all until watching last night. It was funny watching with the family and having them see me though... :)

Why do they report power outages on TV?

I would love to be on a coaster special , becuase I know I would be able to give the most imformation about the ride im riding along with showing its a great ride etc.... I have seen some people on coaster shows just sitting there screaming "oh my god!" "Oh I cant belive it this ride is so crazy" and thats fine to an exstent becuase it shows that the ride is really good etc, but somtimes people makes fools of themselves. Anyway if there is any coaster specials being taped within 3hrs of Newyork then I will be more then happy to show up and help out, so if any amsumentpark directors etc read this be free to Email me.

Yep, that's exactly how you get on the shows....by criticizing the park execs (translation: amsumentpark directors etc) for choosing the people they selected to represent their park and the show directors for selecting the shots they put on air.

I 'belive' you may just be too smart for all of them....to an exstent.
