Stricker's Grove is small, private, family owned amusement park. It offers two unique wooden coasters, a rare Cuddle Up, and other various thrill rides. OhioThemeParks.com has added pictorial coverage over every aspect of the park, including some 360 degree spinning pictures.

I was wondering if anyone is planning on being there on August 10th. I know A LOT of ACERs usually go in August. The last two times the park has been opened there have been some REALLY bad storms. Last August some tornados touched down in the area and this past 4th of July there were some pretty good lighting storms. Hope to see some people there :)

Stricker's Grove

I'll tell ya! Two years ago we started going to SG after hearing about it from a friend at work, and it's been one of our annual trips each year since. It's only open to the public twice a year, (4th of July and 2nd Sunday of August). It' really takes you back to what an old-fashioned park is all about. Tornado is a great coaster, especially for being built in-park by Mr. Stricker himself. The Teddy Bear is a very unique, (to me anyway!), wood kiddie coaster in a figure-eight design. I know how everyone loves the Flyers, and they have those too. There is an entire kiddie area with boats, cars, and a kiddie Whip. A Merry-Go-Round, Ferris Wheel, and a train ride around the property. The drinks are free, (typically), and the food is grill-out style and reasonably priced. Go if you can, you won't regret it!
I'm planning on being there. That place is too charming to pass up. After my final exam is over Friday, I have two weeks to ride before the fall semester begins. Strickers, Holiday World, Indiana Beach, Camden are all on my list for the period. Hope to meet some of you there myself so I can convince you all that I'm not as bad as some of my posts..Honestly!!!

Wood - anything else is an imitation

I'm planning on going as well. Family Day is a better deal then 4th of July. Tornado is a fun ride and I love the Crazy Dazy!

Once in a while they are open for a third day. I remember in 2001 they had "Customer Appreciation Day" in October.
