Holiday World, Beech Bend and KI are no more than 2 hours away from Louisville so if you are flying, definitely try Louisville (cheaper airfare than flying into Cincy)
Haven't been to GL so I wouldn't know about how many days but when I went to CP it took 2 days and that was getting on all the roller coasters one time (lines were horrible on weekdays when I went)

Let's shoot us some deer Joe Joe!!!!
If Flying, do the opposite. Or start in Dayton, it's pretty cheap to fly in and out of there. Good luck with your trip.
I suggest doing only 1/2 day at GL then going into Cleveland for the rest of the day. Get a good taste of midwest big-city life.
I would drive though seeing all the traveling you plan on doing once you get there.

Wicked Twister was running fine yesterday.
YES! Glad to not have to worry about this.
Well, I've been researching airfares - thanks for all the suggestions including Allegiant Air (Unfortunately, no flights from LV to Toledo or Louisville at the moment), but it looks like I missed all the great deals already. I'm hoping something will come up in the next month or so.
So, depending on the cheapest airfare, my travel plans look like this:
Fly into Louisville on Tuesday the 7th. 8th at HW, 9th at KI, travel to Dayton.
10/11th at Dayton, travel to GL.
1/2 day at GL on the 12th, Starlight at CP
13th at CP, fly out of Cleveland or Detroit on the 14th.
I may fly in on the 6th instead to go hit Beech Bend on the 7th.
OR
Fly into Detroit/Cleveland on the 7th Hit CP 8th and 1/2 9th, GL Starlight
10/11th Dayton, 12th KI, 13th HW, and fly out of Louisville on the 14th.
I think that should have me in Coaster Nirvana for a while at least!
