Ohio Questions...

Ok, here's the deal. I live in Miami and get out of school on May 27ish (not sure of the exact date, but before May is over) and start school on August 16ish. I'll be in Ecuador from June 25 to July 25. Out of the days I have left, when do you think is the best week to go for minimal crowds. I'll stay at the Breakers for that 1 hour early entrance thing, and how does that work? Is it ERT or what? What rides does it apply to? Also, how far out of the way is PKI? Thanks.

Well, I can't exactly help you with the best time to go for minimal crowds, but I can help with a few of your other questions. If your staying at the Breakers, you will get in an hour before the general public, and 2 rides that im sure apply are TTD and MF. You get in 1 hour early and can get in line before everyone else. PKI is about 4-5 hour drive depending on the route and traffic. If you can get to PKI, do it, it's my home town park and I love it. Happy vacationing.
Quoth cedarpoint.com:

Cedar Point recommends visiting on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, when attendance is lower. Contrary to popular belief, holidays such as Memorial Day and Labor Day do not result in unusually large crowds. The months with the lowest attendance are May, June and September.

OK, thanks. One more question: how long is the drive from the nearest major airport.

Oh, and does anyone happen to know if there are any VIP type tickets (you'll all hate me for this) because money's really not an issue, so I waant special treatment if I can get it ;) .

All I can suggest is calling the General Information Hotline at (419)-627-2350.
Called the hotline, they know less than me. LoL. So does anyone know the benifits of staying at the breakers for ERT and how does Joe Cool work? Thanks.

Joe cool is only available to season pass holders. If you get a season pass (which is good at all Cedar Fair parks), you can pay an additional $15 for Joe Cool. It allows you to enter the park 30 minutes before the GP (along WITH resort guests) and take advantage of ERT on MF and/or Dragster. It also provides discounts at some restaurants and gift shops.

If you are staying at a CP property, buying the season pass Joe Cool would be redundant unless you plan to use the season pass more often.

I'd rather die living than live like I'm dead

If your staying at Hotel Breakers Joe Cool is what you get. One hour before the park opens and thirty minutes before the people get in from the main gate. If your heading to Dragster you really will get 1 ride or even still be in line by time the people come. If they are opening Dragster on time then you might be able to get there and get on quickly. Then the line wouldn't be too bad if you wanted another ride. For Breakers even if you didn't get in early I would still stay at the hotel. It is about a minute walk to the Magnum entrance and they have lots of stuff to do in it. *** Edited 3/7/2004 8:48:12 PM UTC by SFgadvMAN***
