Off topic, but a question about the sims

I used to play this game when only the original and livin' large was out. Now theres about a dozen of them. Are they all expansion packs, or are some of them seperate games? I saw that the newest one, bustin out, i think is a seperate game, but are all the rest expansion packs? Its just sooo confusing when there are like 10 different expansion packs and stuff.
They're all expansion packs as far as I know.
Yeah i'm pretty sure about the rest bein expansion paks also, but i do know that Bustin' Out is on PlayStation 2

All of the PC Sims games are expansion games, including Makin' Magic, Hot Date, Vacation... and so forth & so on.

The PS2, X-Box, & Gamecube has 2 Sim games currently... The Sims & The Sims: Busting Out. The Sims is like the original Sims game & House Party put together with 3D graphics.

The Sims: Busting Out is a seperate game altogether, but it's basically the same as the first with more expansion packs where they can leave the house and persue other stuff (ie: like Hot Date & Vacation... etc).

(Good or bad news, I'll let you decide): The Sims 2 is supposed to come out later this year, if I remember first quarter '04 to be specific.

Here's the list of Sims and Sims expansion packs for the PC: The Sims, The Sims Livin' Large, House Party, Hot Date, Vacation, Unleashed, Superstar, and Makin' Magic. Now there's also The Sims Deluxe (Sims w/ Livin Large pre-installed) and The Sims Double Deluxe (Sims w/ Livin Large and House Party).

I know all this, unfortunately, cuz I've been installing most of these packs for my sisters over the past few weeks :(

To put this "on topic" with coasters, I believe you can build little coasters for your Sims to ride in the Makin Magic expansion.

Certain victory.
