Off To Kentucky Kingdom

Hello all! On an urge decided to take a trip to SFKK tomorrow 7/23. Never have been there and anxious to pick up afew new coasters. For any of you that have been there this year what is closed? What should I not miss and what is good to eat? Any help would be great! Thanks in advance for all your help.
The only rides closed when I was there a week ago was Quake and Breakdance (2 flats). All the coasters were up and running.

The food is mostly your typical park stuff. They have a couple Subways in the park if that is your thing.

The coasters I enjoy there are Greezed Lightnin', Thunder Run, and Chang.

Have fun.

My favorite MJ tune: "Billie Jean" which I have been listening to alot now. RIP MJ.

Thunder Run is one of my top woodys, and don't forget Hellevator. :-D

The Sistas, er, the Twins were running AWESOME last year, even with the G-Trains. :-) I haven't really heard much about them this year.

SFKK gets a lot of negative feedback but I enjoy the park anytime I am "passing through" Louisville. :-)

You will enjoy it. :-) Have fun!

<-----who loves the cheapy season passes.

Man, what is it with those Vekoma flat rides? I read somewhere that the Air Jumper (Time Warp) at SFNE has been only open a couple of days this year. I think we missed Quake two years ago by a matter of minutes. Well, at least their Mad Houses are reliable. As others have said, Chang and Thunder Run are awesome. I can't vouch for Greezed Lighting, but the one at Astroworld kicks ass, so I'm sure it's great. *** Edited 7/23/2004 7:11:27 PM UTC by Intamin Fan***
Greezed Lightnin' has some cool hangtime in the loop! It doesn't seem as forceful these days after riding TTD and other LIM launch coasters, but it's still a heck of a ride. Thunder Run is great..don't dare miss it. Hopefully some grease has been applied to the track/wheels by now as it was squealing something fierce back in May. Chang will give you one of the best stand up coaster experiences of your life. Be sure to ride the giant Ferris wheel (at night if possible).

I survived a Japanese typhoon and the Togo flat ride of death!!!!!!
Well made the trip to SFKK. Will be doing a trip report later. Rides were good. We enjoyed Thunder Run the most.
I'm looking forward to that TR, I'm planning a possible side trip to KK on Aug 4th, never been...
Finally got my trip report up. Go here to read. http://coasterbuzz.com/forum.aspx?mode=thread&TopicID=38929
