Off the DDR V-list!

Back in my younger days, those that "hadn't" were said to be "On the V-list." Once you had your first experience, you were "off the V-list". Thus with much humility and self-effacement, I took my first try at DDR last Friday!

The Location: Janesville Mall arcade, Janesville, WI
The Machine: DDR Extreme
The Cost: 4 tokens ($1.00) for three songs.

On Beginner level, the three songs I tried were the one by Fixx (not The Fixx, one of my favored '80's bands:(), and the two covers of Queen (We Will Rock You and We Are The Champions). Luckily, I don't think I made too much of a fool of myself. The main problem I think I had was accidentally tripping the pads while simply standing in the center. I have size 12 feet, and I could feel the edges of my shoes brushing the activation pads.

All in all, it's quite a fun game. I just can't see blowing the dough it would require to get anywhere decent at it.

That's why you get a Playstation. :) Or, find an out-of-the-way machine where no one goes (that's the tactic I used before I was good enough to, er, put on a show, as it were).

Your daughter is super-cute, btw. Reminds me of my niece.

When I saw this..I thought it was in regard to the V-Rare CD coming out with the Pop'n Music 8 CS preorders...

But since it's not.. I'll comment differently.

I wish I was on the DDR V-List =(
