Off season too long

^^^ Would you still say that if I told you that I am making my 8th park visit (4 different parks) since Thanksgiving tomorrow? What's more important, opening days or being able to ride whenever you want? I'll take the latter.

My mother (1946-2009) once asked me why I go to Magic Mountain so much. I said I feel the most alive when I'm on a roller coaster.
2010 total visits: SFMM-9, KBF-2

I spent 31 days at an amusement park this past season, I can wait till April 17th, it also helps me save the cash for summer trips.

I have been riding year round for 27 years. I can't imagine having a 5-6 month gap every year. Having to wait that long would be torture.

Football and Christmas help. This time of year it gets a little more difficult.

Avoiding parks in the winter makes me appreciate them more.

I've spent a good deal of time in the Bay Area and now in TX. 3 months of off season isn't too bad at all. Especially when the weather is such that I wouldn't want to go out anyway. The real shame is that half the good rides at SFoT are closed during Holiday in the Park. Even GAdv. off season wasn't too bad. SFNE's on the other hand was just a hair too long when I lived in Boston. I started going a bit stir crazy once the weather was decent but the park was closed.

Calvin: "If your numbers go up, it means you're having more fun."
