Gator, Vegas is at least w/in driving distance from SoCal parks, unlike the Pacific Northwet. :)
Now, can I ask the The Coaster at NY NY be given an off-season? 365 days of every year oughtta do...

Wow. You guys need to chill. I'm enjoying the off season just fine thanks. I just hate the weather.
I agree. I have the Dollywood event next weekend but other than that I am fine. I haven't had the "coaster withdrawl" thing for some time now. Fewer trips that are spread out more just makes them that much more enjoyable and special. :)
I am never fine with bad weather, though. Luckily there's plenty of stuff to catch up on like movies, video games, and some projects I have been putting off. :)

I usually have to make time to go out to Cedar Point, or turn down other social gatherings or events, so the off season just means that I'm pissing off fewer friends by suggesting that we go hit some coasters instead of doing other things. This year I got a lot of use out of my pass, so the end of the season was like the credits to a great movie.
I firmly believe that seeing live music taps into the same pleasure centers for me as coasters. If you're nostalgic for Cedar Fair food and drink prices, certain venues will give you your fix! Luckily, the places I frequent typically adopt a more Holiday World attitude.
But I agree with those who suggested skiing. No restraints, real airtime and a huge variety of terrain make it a natural offseason fit. I enjoy pretty much anything that involves going down a hill quickly. Plus, it has the added bonus of truly terrifying me sometimes, an element that's long been gone for me with coasters.
Bring on the snow. Already had enough of the 40s and rain weather. Would love to get 3-4 months of temps that don't get into the 30s. With lots of snow. Won't happen though.
DMB in Charlottesville (I'm trying to steal Josh's thunder ;) ).
Didnt get to as many parks as I wanted this year... just Knoebels and Morey's. Probable Disney trip next November though...
