Obtaining Cheap IX Indoor Amusement Park Tickets:

'Ello Coaster Fans Who Are Putting on Their Long Johns in the Morning then Suntan Lotion on by the Middle of the Afternoon Here in Ohio,

A few people have asked me how to obtain REALLY cheap IX Indoor Amusment Park tickets like in past years. SOooooo here's how:

1) Register online at their website to win free tickets (I have already one 4 so it does work).

2) All this week and next week (weekdays) they have a "Car load special." Up to 10 people in one vehicle is $30 which if you do the math it's a GREAT deal....it's even a deal for two people!

3) Go to Tops markets or AAA and get $13 dollar tickets.

4) Go to McDonalds and get a I think $2 off coupon.

5) Bring in a Pepsi or Mt Dew can after 6pm and get $6 off.

6) Bring in 4 Chef Bourrde (sp) LABELS (not the cans) and get buy one get one free tickets.

These are all the deals that I have found so far and there are a few days coming up here where it's free parking. Come on over to Cleveland, Ohio and check it out this year!!

At least I dont call a vertical loop a "loopdie-loop"!

You can also print $2 coupons from their website. Just did that today since it's looking like we'll be going this weekend. As far as I know there is one coaster and maybe a kiddie coaster. Lots of flats.
It's pretty junky. Nothing worth going to, in my opinion.

I went last monday (April 1st).

I enjoyed it, there are a LOT of flat rides. My 15 year old brother and his friend didn't like it to much and wanted to leave.. but couldn't. If you like flat rides, then its a must do. They have a five story figure-8 coaster (which I drug my bro on... he didn't talk to me until after we were off.) and I had to ride it because I needed something to tide me over.. and I couldn't wait for May. If you have a hungry family, be prepared. A burger, fries, and a drink was $8 (maybe thats normal for park food. I've forgotten) and I made sure to eat my fare share of nachos, fries, funnel cakes, and soft pretzels.

As for coasters, they usally have a Pinfari Galaxi which is identical to the Geauga Lake Cyclone (removed 1980), and there is an assortment of portible kiddie coasters.

The INDOOR park has a log flume and a ton of flat rides trucked in by BATES BROS. Amusements.

JESS: did they have anything "unusual" this year?

I went on Saturday and there was nothing new there this year with the exception of the "Terror Tunnel 2" walk-through haunted attraction (which is a $5 upcharge attraction). No new flats, and the Wisdom Tornado, Eli Cycloid, and the "Hi-Jacker" (adult frog hopper) were all MIA this season. Lines were insanely long for a carnival this past Saturday as even the fiberglass slides had huge lines.

The "Stealth Flyer" (their name for the Zyklon coaster this year) was running brakeless... which made for a rather wild trip.

It's not worth the $13 we paid to get in, but it's a good place to get over some ride withdrawal... and the people watching is an attraction in itself! :)

Unusual? Nothing out of the ordinary. What caught my eye was a flat (I forget the name!) that was like a Paratrooper, but you laid down.. they looked like hang gliders. I suppose the games people could have been unusual.. they was trying to con my brother into giving up his money.. then trying to get ME to pay for his games after he said he didn't have any (he did). The water ride looked kinda neat, but why would two 15 year old kids want to ride that thing with a 21 year old? They'd look stupid.. or that's what they thought anyway..

My thrill was going on a scrambler ride that went BACKWARDS. I don't do that backwards stuff. Needless to say I didn't ride anything else after the Ferris Wheel they have inside (which was riddled with graffiti.. and gum.. and various other objects..)
