That almost sounds like the kind of rumor started just to tease BatwingSFA because he's always complaining about the lack of new coasters at SFA. But who would do such a think like that?
Funny, BATWINGFANSFAALLCAPS was the first person I heard mention UT going to SFA, so I initially dismissed it as quickly as Windjammer came and left Knotts. However, Fierce Pancake's post in this thread held a little more water. It's not solid proof, which is why I added the 'sort-of-confirmed' and 'could be wrong' disclaimers. :)

I hope it's true for my sake. And it would also be nice to learn that Hell froze over due to BFSFA finally being correct.

I think a lot of people are getting informaton about where rides are being relocated from the astroworldpark.com website.

A day at the park is what you make it!

No offense to the people running/contributing to that site, but where are they getting their information? Some people are saying that Batman track has been spotted in Ohio while others are saying the ride is for sale. Which is it?
I pray for anyone who would be receiving Batman the Escape track. That was one hellacious ride. Sure, it looks like a B&M, and I believe that Claude and Walter may have had a part in it when they were at Intamin, but good god do those trains hurt. The earpads make the SLC's feel like soft cushy pillows.
I don't know... I get the impression the person contributing the information is on the inside working on dismantling the rides in the park. Besides, I thought the track spotted in this thread was determined to be Serial Thriller and headed to TGE.

Since it's not listed here: http://www.astroworldauction.com

I'm tempted to say that SFI is relocating B:TE (standup, not to be confused with all the *other* Batmen, inverts). Since the SLC is AN invert, I can see where some confusion might arise....heck, I cause half the confusion... :)

Whoa, XLR8 isnt going to be relocated...Sucks. Hmm I wonder were Texas Cyclone is going.

Probably back to the ground that it originally came from :(

I can see why Six Flags would want to relocate Batman- a standup would make a nice addition to a good number of Six Flags parks, even larger ones. I guess that the indoor coaster (Mayan Mindbender?) is going to be relocated too?

Does Frontier City still have the building that once housed Nightmare Mine? If so, that might be an ideal location for MM...

...and while a decent number of parks could use *a* standup coaster, NOBODY should be stuck with that POS. Iron Wolf is a *glorious* ride in comparison to B:TE (Banged: To Extremes)...

B:TE (Banged: To Extremes)

My favorite movie! ;)

I can't believe their auctioning off some of those props. Some of this stuff would add great themeing to other SF parks. Like the wagons would work well in SFA's Coyote Creek

Haha, Coyote Creek is the most themed part of the park! Focus on GC.

I just didn't want to embarass you. :)

But since you brought it up...

...can I have an autograph?

I already gave you one. Unless that wasn't really you...

;)

Checking out that auction site... what a shame no other SF park is getting the "Hand Truck Ride." And with a little imagination, they could hook those big fans up to the back of boats and create an Everglades ride somewhere.
Gee... Wouldn't those fans feel great hanging over a ride queue someplace? *** Edited 1/6/2006 1:21:28 AM UTC by coasterguts***

No one spoke of UT going to SFA until it was mentioned on Screamscape. That "rumor" appeared right after a long thread here on CBuzz in which BatwingSFA continually complained about the lack of new coasters.

Coincidence? You tell me....

mOOSH

PS - I also suggest looking into the timing of another rumor: SFDL getting SFAW's Mini-Mine Train ;)
