Posted | Contributed by Jeff

Alton Towers' Nemesis will be the ride of choice for 32 people that want to set the record for nude roller coaster riders today.

nuddies cool. its summer time ,so why not!
Don't they do this every year? How is this now suddenly a record? Did they not have a full train before?
I think the PR guy at Alton Towers is a perv!
There is good naked and there is bad naked.

There are some people I just don't want to see bouncing up and down on a woodie.

Danimales....from the article: "The aim is to beat the record set by 28 riders at Thorpe Park, Surrey, in May."

So I guess the way to beat THAT record is to "do it" on a coaster with a cpacity greater than 32....why am I suddenly thinking "Beaver Land Mine Ride"...;)

Huh. I could have sworn this was done on Nemesis before. Regardless, I hope they plastic wrap those seats!
I hope they clean the seats off good after the attempt.
Danimales, the last record was set on Nemesis Inferno at Thorpe Park. This one is going to be on simply Nemesis which is at Alton Towers.

I didn't know there were any B&M inverts with only 7 rows, but why else would there have only been 28 on Inferno?

There's a bad naked?!?!

YES! There's a very bad naked...

I thought a powersaw was good naked?

This is bad naked...

Riders = Inverted perverts. *
Nemesis = Perverted Invert. *

What is it with the whole American ideal that nuditiy is both sexual and perverse?
Frying bacon naked = bad naked.

Michael Darling, what's the point of doing this stunt then, if people aren't going to consider the sexual nature of it? No one would care about this otherwise.

It wouldn't be sexual or perverse if nobody wore clothes. Since they do, it is a very special event to see nakedness...which adds an extra thrill to it. ;)
"What is it with the whole American ideal that nuditiy is both sexual and perverse?"

I think its just the fact that if its all in fun and going for a record why do they have to be naked? I think it is perverted riding it naked. Honestly what is the point?

The point is that being naked, while gross for some people, is a lot less "bad" then the tolerance we have for violence, and that's really screwed up. We can watch stuff get blown up all over TV every night but when Janet shows a nipple it's the end of the world. That ain't right.

South Park-Bigger, Longer, and Uncut, anyone?

It wouldn't be sexual or perverse if nobody wore clothes.

Those statements remind me of people's common misconceptions about nudist camps. Yes, most everyone is naked. No, it's not sexual in the least.

mOOSH [has never been to one but knows people who have

They better wash or disinfect those seats after there done...

You obviously are not aware of the Red Rooster. Next time you head to Vegas drop me a private message (if this is your thing) and I'll hook you up with the details. Needless to say, a coaster message board is not the place for Red Rooster discussions! :-)

Amen, Jeff! And it was a particularly nice nipple, at that. Now she's black-balled from MTV and Viacom, but I still support her...

What kills me is that in Europe, they used the Images of the Rolling Stone cover, the Superbowl Pic, and her new album pic together as advertising for her new album.

Here in the US, though, just the site of a nipple (something we've seen since birth), and its automatically sexual. Sorry, I don't find it that way. I feel there is a good and bad naked. Good naked is something artistic and non-sexually perverted. Bad naked is something perverted or pornographic.

I honestly don't see the big deal, but thats just me. And I do have morals, thank you:).
