NTKY-NoLimits

Hi all! nesdude here, and decided to spruce this otherwise dead forum up a little bit. I bought NoLimits after playing around with the demo a bit and hanging around in #rct3 at irc.enterthegame.com on IRC. It was a person called "Freddie" that made me take the final step into buying it. Thanks Freddie, it was worth it.

So, yadda ya, blah blah, you don't want to know my entire NL backstory, you just want the ride. Fine. I see how you people are, gimmie gimmie gimmie. I kid, I kid. Anyways, onto the ride... I even have a dramatic overtone to start things off... oooooh.

The energy builds as you stand, looking on to the massive tower. Train after train launches, each one seemingly faster than the next. Waiting in line, you see mixed emotions, some happy, some terrified. Finally, it's your turn. Sitting down and strapping in, you grip that lapbar as hard as you can. You jut forward, but quickly stop. What's this? The brake fins lower in front of the train. 5. 4. 3. 2. 1.

It's been nice to know you.

NTKY (Nice to Know You) is the latest from I, nesdude. Blast off to 78 m.p.h in seconds. Climb 205 feet. Then plummet back to earth. But you're not done yet, you still have 2 headchoppers, 3 135 degree overbank turns, and a 0-g hill. Slide into the brake run, and it's over.

NTKY was my first NL creation that turned out good, I went from there. Taking out all the little pumps and jumps was a pain, but well worth it. The supports still need some work, but advanced supports are still beyond me, this is the best I can do.

And, as a special bonus for all you CoasterBuzzers for actually coming into this forum and taking the time to read though all this, you get a homemade, 39 second promo for the ride, made with Fraps and compiled in Sony Vegas 6. It was my first creation in Vegas, go easy on me. It sucks, but I like the music.

The ride itself though... ouch! The twists going up and down the tophat are way too sharp. The overbanks are all in the same direction, so its pretty much a repetitive ride. The last overbank will leave you hanging out of your seat because its at such a low speed.

As far as design goes, it looks cool! I like the colors of the ride.
