I just read an insane story where an amusement park owner in France (Nigloland) was unhappy about an article about his park, which lead to him to him attacking the journalist.
Basically, they had posted an article where they talked about a rumor that guests were ejected from the park after taking pictures of the rides without riding them. Some people claimed it was "scouting for a terrorist attack" and the newspaper talked about it. So what happened? At 4 pm, the owner calls the newspaper and demands they pull the article from their site and from Google. The newspaper did not take them seriously... so an hour later, the guy showed up at the office with two goons and proceeded to trash a computer and beat up the journalist! He was arrested and spent the evening in jail.
Here is a link to the article in French and this is from the same newspaper where the incident took place.

Wow.
At first, I thought, taking pictures of rides without riding them is bad? And who's playing such close attention to realize that people were taking pictures of rides not ridden?
And then I thought, the owner calling the park and demanding the article be taken down? That seems a bit much (and sounds like a scene out of a 1940s movie about newspaper reporters), but okay....
But showing up and trashing the place? Please tell me this guy spends more time in jail. Or at least takes an anger management class.

This is why I write mostly feature stories. People can get scary when you write negative things about them.
