That site, while plain, is definitely giving me a good vibe about the future of the park. It seems they are serious about reopening and making an impression.

I recently hooked them up with a bunch of photos for advertising purposes. (something I've never seen from Bushkill - even living in the Allentown area) So I'd say they're pretty serious about opening and getting noticed this year. :)

Lakemont on Wednesdays! One ride on the Skyliner would make the visit worthwhile at that price.

I'm liking that idea!

Gotta give props to Moosh for that one.

Yeah, Moosh occasionally has a good idea ;)

That's good to hear Gonch. Nothing against the previous ownership of the park (which could still be the ownership of the park- like I said, I'm not sure about that) but they didn't seem very aggressive about pushing the park. As I was cleaning mud and debris out of the kiddie rides I couldn't help but notice all the park had to offer and it seemed a shame that more people didn't know about it.

And how could any enthusiast deny a park with a classic Whip, Lusse Skooters and a walk-through fun house with rotating barrel?

Leap the Dips is maintained, insured, and propmoted by Lakemont Park. They could not do it alone. Lakemont does not keep any revenue from the coaster, and it would not be profitable if they paid their expenses.
If they don't keep any revenue from LTD, then where does it go? Or is there basically no revenue to speak of? I've never been to the park on a normal day, just Ridefest after Phunfest a couple years back.
