Even though I still don't have the game, I believe he's asking how to prevent paths to connect when you put them one square just next to the other one. In RCT when you places a path and then another one on the tile just next to it, it would connect both of them._

Yeah, the fence is the key. This works when you want to run a queue parallel and right next to an existing path too. Just put a fence up, and then place your queue, and it won't auto-connect to the path. Very nice. Unfortunately, it's kind of a hack an seems undocumented (at least I didn't see it in my first flip through the manual). To make food courts with benches in the middle, just place some fences, lay down the paths, and then remove the fences.
