FYI, v. 1.4, with the Coin Op coaster, was an April fools joke. Check out the REAL update...version 1.5.

I feel cheated...
I kinda was looking forward to the stupid Butterfly coaster, just as something different to try... but that it's a hoax, that comes as a little relief, but I would have liked to try some weird layouts with that coaster.

I guess then that there's no point in me ever posting a news story from someone working with NoLimits ever again. Lame.

Looks great! Check out the remade inverted 2 seater - very nice touch. You just have to love the fact they keep updating with some pretty sweet stuff.

The only thing i hope they work on in the future is the sounds of the steel tracks. *** Edited 4/7/2004 12:35:57 AM UTC by Ride It***

I was hoping that a 4d was comming, i have so many interesting layouts i wanna make .................still waiting.

The shuttle update is great though and i can't wait to make Deja vu 100% uptime heheheh:O)

p.s.

jeff jeff jeff lighten up alittle it was april fools hehehe:O)~

X...I still can't believe it wasn't a dream

Looks amazing and I thought the joke was really clever....

Im so glad that butterfly or whatever didn't make it, thats a POS ride that will be never used! But the new Intamin trains look amazing, alone with the new premier style and face/off trains, etc.. Can't wait for this one!!

Well we're happy MOST of you got the joke which I qualify with an evil laugh directed at one somewhat disatisified webmaster.. Heheheheh! ;-)

This update is a doozie. The screen shots reveal only a portion of the new and updated features that will be available. As the progress page indicates we have decided to stretch out the update to include more revisions, like the steel cars, fix a lot of basic problems, adding the shuttle coasters and also bringing everything up to date graphically.

How about bringing it up-to-date audioally (is that a word)? Not that the sounds are really out-of-date vs. how graphics can go stale...

...but if you're going to be having Boomerang-like coasters as well as possible Impulse coasters & other LIM launched coasters, it'll be nice to hear a little effects come from the launch itself and/or lift. The lift sounds always sounded too quiet compared to the rest of the ride & Arrows/Vekomas were always loud clickity-clackity rides.

Otherwise, I really cannot wait.

You know what, I don't have the time to examine each news item, and in fact the NL site is blocked at work, so I have to take it on faith that someone isn't submitting crap. I'm done with it.

I assumed the big shuttle pics would be shown later, I still want the butterfly, would be cool to see how it works. At least I didn't submit it as news I never meant for it to be in the news but I said news cause I was showing news and not a question. It was a good April fools joke.

Woah dude. It was just an April Fools' joke. You submitted an ARN&R thing before.

Are you going to post the link to the real screenshots this time? That's the real deal. This program is incredible!

^ I think you should be able to make a semi-close version when the shuttle mode comes out. ;)

I'm not a big fan of April Fools jokes...think they are kind of ridiculous actually. But Jeff, I think you're overacting a bit here. Considering the date...anything around April 1st should be considered with a bit of skepticism. I took one look at the pictures and knew it was a joke...not to mention the name. Coin Op coaster? What the hell is that?

Though why anyone would want to go to all that work for a joke is beyond me.

Coin Op coaster, meaning, coin operated... put money in, and ride. Kind of like little kid rides.

Our little joke was based on reality:

Exactly. Now go and implement it to turn it *into* reality.

Wow...thanks for the link guys. I had no idea that something like that really existed. I haven't been to any of those places where one is installed. So I stand corrected. Strange ride. Sure looks like an April fools joke though. :)
"Another new feature will be the choice of different spine types on some coasters."

Does this mean choice of Flat, triangle, and box track on the Int. style? I dont see what other rides will use diff spines. Maybe the normal looping coaster box spine. Possilby 2 spine Vekoma track? Who knows...

Anyone got answers? :)
