No podcast for 2/26

Nah, not a stalker.. yet ;)

I'm just behind in the podcasts due to not having a portable device capable of playing mp3s until November, and not enough time in front of my computer to listen to an entire episode from the PC. I still have yet to listen to episodes 44-54. :)

This is the first time I have listened to a couple of podcasts. I must say they are very informative. Now, maybe this isn't the place to ask, but my curiosity wants to know how many people on average download and listen to the podcast's on average?

Ask not what you can do for a coaster, but what a coaster can do for you.

I can't speak for Jeff, but I believe the numbers are usually in the 600 - 1000 range initially (the first week) and they slowly climb over time as people discover them.

The more popular ones (with industry guests) seem to do 2000-2500 over the long haul.

It's a nice little niche thing we got going here.

^^ Right on! Ya, when I went into my itunes program, podcast, search, then coasters I got coasterbuzz right away with some other ones. ATX coasters and coaster radio.;) Pretty cool to see you guys up there though.

Being a postal worker, catching up on all the old podcasts each morning is the only thing keeping me from going "postal" on my coworkers...what happens when I catch up?
How about a "Best of?"

Here's To Shorter Lines & Longer Trip Reports!

iirc they did a year in review last year, and specifically didn't this year.

As for what to do when you catch up? Listen to 'em again. Just like re-runs on TV you're bound to notice something that you didn't notice the first time around.

Oh, and on the question of how many downloads.. go to podcast.coasterbuzz.com and browse that way - it shows how many downloads for each podcast. What I don't know is if it includes the itunes downloads, or just the downloads through that website.... Jeff?

iTunes gets the files from here, not Apple. The podcast mechanism is iTunes is just a fancy shell that watches the feed.

This saddens me

It's okay to be sad over the lack of a podcast but not over the loss of Astroworld? ;)

Entirely. :)

Something told me I'd get your attention with that. Do you enjoy being predictible? ;)

Now, time for me to go back to wallowing in sadness... lots to be sad about... Myrtle Besch Hurricane... Bell's... Astroworld... no podcast...

It's not hard to predict the actions of a complete egomaniac. Mention me or something that refers to me and my spidey sense will lead me to it. :)

It's all about me.

That's true. All I have to do is mention a love for Nitro or Williams Grove's elfin pinwheels and I know I've got your undivided attention!
