"No other parks has as many rollercoasters"

From Blackpool Pleasure Beach's visitor map and park guide 2003:

"No other parks has as many rollercoasters - an incredible 13 to choose from!"

I know parks tend to exagerate, but there claim is wrong on two counts:

1). CP and SFMM have 16.

2) BPB only has 11 coasters, what are the other 2?

Perhaps they are counting the Steeplechase as 3 seperate coasters since it has 3 tracks, thus making 13.

Also I was thinking why are the "Vikinger" and the "Ghost Train" are not listed as roller coasters. The "Vikinger" (aka Waterchute) has a complete circuit track, and the "Ghost Train" is a powered ride, but has a 10-15ft drop that rolls via gravity - much the same as Fire In the Hole at SDC.

Any thoughts as to why these are not considered coasters?

Yeah, so? How many people who live near Blackpool know or care about Cedar Point? This is a non-issue.

YES IT IS AN ISSUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was going to drive up to Blackpool Pleasure Ranch on Friday catch ride all the coasters and then drive back in time to be at work on saturday, but, NOT if they lie about having the most coasters!!!!!!!!!!! My time is WAY too valuable to put up with that kinda of tom-foolery!!!!!!!!!!

Actually I was more interested in people's thoughts about the other two rides being coasters. Did you bother to read the whole post before you jumped down my throat? Oe is that a "no issue" as well.

Actually would not be surprised if the park's hyperbole made the Ghost Train and Vikenger "coasters" or if counting Steep Chase track seperately.
I think moosh is just pointing out that his topic has been hashed and re-hashed for other parks that are located far apart geographically, or, I could be way off target as it is always dangerous to try and climb in somebody elses mind. Especially moosh's ;)

So you're allowed to lie if you think no one will notice?
