I went there about three weeks ago and there is no sign of construction. I realize Cedar Fair spent a lot of money on Millenium Force, but could they leave us hanging with no new coaster at the Point for 2002?
Ticket price: $39.00, Wait Time: 2 hours, ride at night on Millenium Force: Priceless

You gotta be kidding me...
You're freakin' already? Just because there's no signs of construction?
Either you are obscessed or totally paranoid that Cedar Point isn't getting a new coaster for 2002....
If you don't realize... Millennium Force required a lot of time because it was a BIG coaster. It was one of the most expensive coasters ever built... and because it was so tall, long, and different... it needed the extra time.
Cedar Point isn't going to make a habit of this. That's like a once in a decade or so kind of deal. IF they do decide to build a coaster... they'll do it just like any other park and do it during the off-season.
It only takes about a total of 5 months from ground breaking to the final piece of track to put up the coaster... so there's plenty of time.
They will announce what is new for 2002 towards the end of the season (around Halloween), so don't worry!!!

Are you going to have a heart attack if Cedar Point doesn't get a new coaster for 2002?
Cali-Coaster-Fan, go to Cedar Point first, then after you went, then claim MM is better.

I would say that is jumping the gun just a tad. If CP gets a new coaster I dont think it will be anything on the scale of M. Force so they do not have to start so early. If for example it were a Thrust Air the layout would be much smaller than M. Force and require much less time to construct. If they dont get a coaster, so what? They have 14 already. One thing we are almost certain of though is that they will be getting a ride of some type. I will still go there several times next year as always no matter what is done.

Settle down... you'll have to wait a little longer for an announcement. They will be building something... trust me.
