No Mute?

On the original RCT there was a mute button. Is there one in RCT2? I keep looking for it but I cannot find it. I have also noticed that when you go into options there is no longer the option for a window view which I used to go on the internet. I really hope that they are there abd that I am just really stupid not to see them..
Nope petie, you're 100% right. No mute. No window. Annoying subtractions from the game, but still a small inconvience.

I think you can disable sounds somewhere in the options menu. I know its somewhere, since I've done it. I do miss the mute button, though. It really made it run faster, since the disc wouldn't spin to access carousel music and the like.

You can hold Alt and press tab to toggle between your desktop and the game window. If you want to turn off the sound, you can use the TRG trainer for rct2. I no longer have the link, but if you search the web for TRG trainer you can find it .

It's called turning off your computer's sound.

Well that would be fine but I like to listen to music when I am playing RCT2!

My keyboard has some volume controls on it, so I just hit the mute button when need be. The lack of a windowed option ticks me off though.

I think opening the park window turns off sound..... not sure though.

Do not be afraid of death, be afraid of your unridden coasters.

There is the option in the Options menu to turn the sound off.

If you never heard of or seen it, there's a control on your computer speakers called VOLUME. Turn it down!

God are you people clueless? There's more to just muting your computer than what the original RCT's mute feature could do... I also liked listening to music while building in RCT, which is now quite a bit more difficult.

OK Im not dumb! I know I can turn off my sound! But NO! I listen to my music while I play! And yes since I posted this topic I have found the options where you turn off sound! My god you people can be really really rude! All I did was ask a simple question and people think they are better than others make dumbass comments like "its called turn off your sound" Some people! (can you tell I have had a bad day?)
You got a CD player nearby? Use that for your CDs whilst you play RCT2.

You're right. people on here can get really rude sometimes. try to make more thorough interpretations next time. if its music you downloaded from the internet, then i dont know. i like the RCT sounds anyways :-)

I agree, the lack of a mute feature is annoying, but I like the RCT sounds. That carousel music makes you want to get up and dance, doesn't it? :)

you can MUTE the game by clicking on a ride and when the window appears for that ride, click the UPPER LEFT CORNER of the top of the box, youll see a little icon appear and all gets muted, try it , it works for me.

The only problem with that option is that once you close the window, the mute is disabled and you hear the sounds again.

As for the rudeness factor, one would think that the TOS encourages rude people, as they seem to be rather abundant on this site.
