Invy is correct: the track on SOB's loop was the same wood laminate that was on the rest of the ride. Look carefully at this photo and you can clearly see the layers of wood in the track being supported by the steel supports.

Look at SoB it broke down because of problems with the loop.

Nope. The accident had nothing to do with the loop. Go to the CBuzz News page and read the accident report.
