No Limits, Ultimate Ride, or RCT?

I was wondering which game I should download/purchase. I already have all 3 RCT and am mildy-impressed with it, but I would like to take it to the next level with NL and UR. Which do you people like better? Which is easier to use? What has the most options? Reponses are appreciated, thanks!
I still like RCT the most because it is the easiest one to use and you can buy any coasters you want to. I hope Micropose is planning to make a new version with more Flat rides and a B&M flying coaster and maybe a Arrow 4D.

With this changes and a option so you can ride the coaster it would be a perfect game.

1. Ghostrider
2. Goliath
3. Riddler's Revenge
4. Batman the Ride

Ok, I'm starting to like ultimate ride. I'm making my coasters really perilous and they turn out really fun to ride. I have another piece of software that I like to use as a frisbee called 3D rollercoaster factory. I refuse to give up my RCT tho...lol.

NL has a very detailed simulator but the editor is a bit complex.Still it would be my best choice along with RCT.

Which is better? Well, for one, get RCT out of the picture. It's not possible to compare games of different genres. For two, get Ultimate Ride out of the picture, who wants to ride 200 mph coasters that run upsidedown 1/2 the time, rightsideup 1/2 the time? And who really wants cheesey themeing, and not realistic cars and track?

What does it leave you?

Give me a N!
Give me a O!

Give me a L!
Give me a I!
Give me a M!
Give me a I!
Give me a T!
Give me a S!

Wow, I just wasted my time by typing that.

What is this 'Scream Machine' game I keep hearing about? No store, in cyberspace or not, has it. Is it a demo or something?

Roller Coaster Tycoon is the best for a intire park, No Limits is best for the coaster itslef, especially cause you can ride it, but I havn't tried Ultimate ride yet?  Where can I get it?

RCT is the best to me. Even though I have a fast computer, RCT can be played on almost any computer. Its a very easy game to play and a lot of fun. It has almost every company out there, Arrow, B&M, Vekoma, and more.

As for Nolimits. It doesn't run to well on my computer. Scream Machine does however. I am liking that game

Having used both NL and UR for the first time within the past 4 days, I can empatically say.... They're both great! NL has the realism down! UR has the more kid-style cheese (just a tad) and the ability to do unreal things like go 200mph or be inverted 1/2 the time. Someone earlier asked who would want these features..... I do! It's nice to not have real world constraints. That's why I say both.... One is astounding realistic and very, very cool, the other is marginally realistic and very, very cool!

No comment on RCT, seems like a SimPark type game, Is there even coaster sims on it?

oh, and concerning someone's comment about "who would want a coaster with the track upside down half the time," don't forget about X! It does just that!

Mmmmmm. X. when WILL that open?

I like RCT because you can build, design, and operate whole parks, but I like No Limits because it is WAY more graphic and you can basically design anything you would want in a roller coaster, which you can't do in RCT. Now, if only they could mix RCT with No Limits, I would be the happiest man on earth...

What does that leave you?"

I'd ride a 200 mph coaster that rides upsidedown 1/2 the time! It would probably leave me sick but I'd ride it! ;)

Anyway back to the the games:

RCT I bought the very first day the original game came out and I still play it on a weekly basis. Point and click makes it so easy to build a coaster in a few minutes.

I just bought UR last week. I don't care much for the theming. I bought it to build realistic coasters. Which you can do if you want or build insane layouts that would be impossible in real life.

The building process is a bit more complex having to deal with steepness of drops turn radai "SP?" and degree of banking. I also like how it gives you speed and forces for every piece of track you lay. That way you don't have a roll back after you spend a long time building a ride.

The only down fall I found so far is if you want to change an entire element such a a hill into a helix you have to delete your coaster from the end back to that point.

I still didn't try No Limits yet though. :(

That sounds like a definite design flaw in the game. But I haven't tried it yet, so perhaps it's just impossible...

I've tried the No Limits demo, and I'm the type of guy that wants to go straight in and build stuff. With NL, you have to learn all the stuff, or at least have a good understanding of it. RCT is simply point and click. I haven't tried Ultimate Ride yet.

And with Ultimate Ride being a Disney-Imagineer project, I'm not too surprised that it has a Mickey Mouse (forgive the expression) interface.

I own Ultimate Ride, cool game, easy builder system, unrealistic physics, but I still enjoy it. Now, wait a minute, I download the No Limits demo and ride Revolution at SFMM. Now Ultimate Ride looks like a kids game. I'll still play it here and there but when NL gets released I'm gonna have a ball. Even though the editor is a "little" confusing, I have already picked up the basics of track design.

If you need to decide on a game, I don't know about Scream Machines, but choose No Limits over Ultimate Ride. Just make sure you have a little patience when constructing your dream coasters. Read the help guide. It is the bible of this game.

Gravity is your friend! Think about how boring riding a coaster would be in Zero-G. LIM's would be required.
