No Limits demo problem

After I downloaded and installed the demo, it said: “ A required . DLL file, MSVCP60.DLL, was not found”.

Can someone help me?

Your probably missing the required DirectX program.  Try 8.0.  Go to www.danimation.com , their forums, and go to coaster continuum, you might find some answers there.

Please disregard anything said by me that is incomprehensible, incoherent, or just dumb. I am and will be drained from the arduous school year, thank you!

No Limits isn't a "Direct X" based program. It is an Open GL program, and Ole Lang made that clear when he created the program. It doesn't use Direct X because of the complex models, textures, and engine. Direct X can't handle that as good...

Proud to be an American!!

not sure, but Scream Machines needs DirectX 8.0a
Try e-mailing Ole Lang himself. He would know best, he programmed the thing.

There are two primary ways a program can talk to your 3D hardware: Direct3D and OpenGL. Both are application programming interfaces (API's) that act as the link between the hardware and the program. OpenGL is generally more accepted because it can be used on more than one platform, whereas DirectX is a Windows deal.

NoLimits uses OpenGL. Some video card drivers have good OpenGL support, some don't have any at all. If you're in the latter group, you can't run it.

That said, if you have a TNT or GeForce-based card, go to www.nvidia.com and download the latest Detonator drivers. The same package works on all of the cards.

Jeff's right - update your video card drivers (even if it's not an Nvidea card).
Same problem I had. Thanks guys.

If you don't have an Nvidia-based video card, don't install Nvidia's drivers (duh). If you have an STB Velocity, forget it, there won't be any new drivers and you're out of luck.
