No Coaster plans

Just curious how many are attending the annual ACE No-Coaster Con this Sat Jan 19th in Chicago.  Any special plans while there?

I attended last year and know that some folks hooked up on Friday prior to the event and then again on Sunday following.  So, what's up with everyone?

I'm still not sure if I can make it, as I have a conflicting prior obligation.  I'd really like to go, as I'm pretty interested in some of the presentations.

I will be there.
However this probably should be on the meeting calender.  Too bad there is not a setting for general meeting or convention in the meeting calender rather than having to attach it to a park.
Feel free to email me.  I am debating staying at the hotel or not with my girlfriend and a close friend of ours or not.  Depending on what everyone else might do that is going I might be persuaded in tagging along.

I would be interested in getting together Friday night if anything is going on. I am staying in Joliet and was planning on going to the Casino but I can do that anytime. Please let me know if anyone plans anything.

Is anyone familiar with the area near No Coaster Con?  I am vaguely.  If anyones has ideas on what to do in the surrounding area, IE: going to Dave and Busters, Gameworks, mini-golfing, etc.  PLEASE chime in.

My wife and I will be there.  The only other thing we were planning to do is see Beauty and the Beast: Special Edition in IMAX.

Well I guess not to many people have ideas on what to do around there.  IF you do then let us all know hopefully sometime today as the event is tomorrow.

There's lots to do near Oak brook the site of no coaster con.  It all depends on what you want to do.  There's Schaumburg which gives you a ton of options movies,Gameworks,Medieval Times,Indoor water park,Dave n Busters is'nt to far, dance clubs, bars and lots of resturants.  Like Hooters(their so big) their chicken wings of course.  So there is a lot to do in the area.  My advice would be to go start there.

Have fun gang...I'll be at Knotts!
well thank you for getting me POed before I go to class.  this could have been my first coaster con, but no.  I'm going to school in MI and I doubt I can make it back.  I'll have to keep an eye out for the next one so I can make plans to come back.  have fun.

Ooooh, Knott's, I'm so jealous [knott].  I'd rather hang out and listen to people speaking about coasters than actually riding them, like most ACE events.
Who the hell am I kidding, I wish I was on Monte. :(  Damn you Moosh for ruining my fun!

Wow they picked a bad day to have it in Chicago with Jordans return game at the United Center and Da Bears playoff game.  I would attend if it was just on another day.

Believe me, CoasterDude, if I knew the Bears would be in the playoffs with a home game, on the second week of the playoffs, I would have a) not pre-registered for NCC2K2 and b) made a trip to Vegas in early November and made myself a very rich man...

That being said, I will be taping the game and trying my hardest to not hear the results until I see the tape at home Saturday night.

As far as Jordan being back in town, I could not care less. He _was_ the best player in basketball ever. Now he is just an average player on a below average team who has bursts of excellence (that goes for him and his team). Now, if he was in his "old" form on a good team and the Bulls couldn't be beaten by either the Washington Generals or the New York Nationals (The Harlem Globetrotter's long time nemeses) by 20 points, I'd be interested...but that's my $0.02 worth...
