I was just wondering what is going on with the Coaster's Choice Awards. From the Coaster's Choice page, "The nomination process takes place in February while final voting happens in March." Here in Indiana, it is the middle of April. What is going on?
Nope... it will not happen this year. I'm retiring the awards for something different, some time this year.

That is too bad, but I look forward to the something different.
What are the odds? Here in Michigan its also the middle of April! ;)

I know how you can get confused about the date around here. It seems that May 6th has come up once or twice since the end of October last year. When every other post has that date, it's hard to keep track of what the calendar really says!
You have disturbed the forbidden temple, now-you-will-pay!!!
Well Indiana does have that goofy different time zone/no daylight savings time deal (which is ending?), so it very well could be a different month :). *** Edited 4/13/2006 8:27:30 PM UTC by Joe E.***
Yes, thanks to our governor, my new job is 10 minutes away, but an hour ahead :-P Our state is way too narrow for having two time zones, but whatever.

Well the real problem with Indiana time zones is not Indiana at all, but our neighbors Illinois and Kentucky. We want to be on the same time as them but we don't want to be completely on Central time. (So annoying this whole thing has become)
Yes, yes it has. It's very annoying trying to re-adjust, but once I do, I'm sure I'll get over it. Back on topic, something new, whooo! Sounds pretty cool.

I bet this new thing will be 500 feet tall and have 23 inversions!
I'm just hoping the new thing will be a new themed area, that's all :-P *** Edited 4/14/2006 4:04:32 PM UTC by Glitch01***

The sun doesn't set soon enough...it's really messing with my ability to go to sleep at a decent hour and get up for class on time. My biological clock is pissed off.
It's still me, here from the beginning back in 1999. Add 1500+ posts to the number I have in the info section if you care about such things.
Hey, I'm from hick town USA (Chesterton, IN) and when I worked in Stevensvile,MI the time change was really reeeeeeely bad. Hell, I didn't know if I was coming or going. :)
My Beautiful wife, Julia, is the best thing that has ever happened to me!
Living in Ohio has always put us on the edge of the Eastern time zone. Then with DST complete darkness doesn't come along till darn near 10 o'clock at the height of the summer when the days are longest. Really is bad for those of us who enjoy a couple hours of night time rides at our favorite parks.
^Which is why it annoys me when Ohio claims to be in the Midwest. Honestly how can you be in the Eastern Time Zone and be in the Midwest? Silly Buckeyes. ;)
