NJ reporter looking for enthusiasts

I am an Associated Press reporter writing a story about new G-force limits on New Jersey roller coasters. I am looking for NJ-based enthusiasts to interview about the restrictions. Anyone interested?

Don't worry, you'll get PLENTY of responses....ex-Jerseyite, knows several NJ enthusiasts....all opinionated...;)
Another ex-Jerseyite here too. I live in Lancaster PA but, I still call SFGAdv my home park. I'd be willing to give you my opinions!
Jerseyite right here. Been waiting to give my opinion on this subject.

I am rather interested.. Although I live in the suburbs of Philadelphia, SFGADV is only 45 minutes from me, therefore these g-force limits affect me, as well as others (specificaly those that live in New Jersey).

Ms. Hennessy: While CoasterBuzz is a great site for the enthusiast world, it's probably not the best place to get people that will best fit your needs. I would actually suggest that you make a small excursion to Six Flags Great Adventure(Jackson, NJ) this weekend and look for people there. The park is hosting its annual "Coaster Celebration" on both Saturday and Sunday. This event attracts both local and travelling enthusiasts. I would *think* that you could find many voices to put on tape. :)

As Jeremy said, a lot of us will be at SFGAdv this weekend. I'm an engineer/enthusiast from Maryland and will be there with my kids. There will be a couple of hundred other enthusiasts there for Coaster Celebration also.

Ms Hennessy - might I also suggest you contact the Public Relations rep for American Coaster Enthusiasts, David Escalante, at descalante@aceonline.org He can also connect you with ACE's regional rep in the NJ area as well.

Thanks for the responses. Not sure of the etiquette here. but I wanted to respond to some folks.

Viper423 I sent an e-mail to you asking some specific questions.

No worries, Kathy. I doubt anyone here would mind you contacting them privately. The reason I suggested the ACE PR rep is that you never know what you're gonna get on C-buzz. You could very well end up with some 14-year-old who sums up his thoughts with "Markey's law sucks!"

Moosh - meaning no disrespect to C-Buzz members or 14-year-olds.

I also would suggest visiting Six Flags Great Adventure on Sat. at the Garden Of Eatin'. This is where the Coaster Celebration group will be meeting for lunch/door prizes and such (I think between 2 and 4PM). You couldn’t ask for a better group of people to answer your questions and you should be able to come up with plenty of comments there! This is a very hot debate around here and it seems as though the enthusiast side is not being given a fair chance to voice their opinions or facts. I'll be looking forward to your report as this could potentially have an effect on the park that I've called home for the last 20 some years. Thanks.

I called Kathy when I first received her e-mail and hopefully answered some of her questions. I like how she is going about things here. She is actually taking the time to get the thoughts and opinions of the coaster enthusiast. Way to go Kathy. Finally, someone gets to read our side in print and not just Markey's side.

I doubt that she will be going to the park this weekend though. She is looking to get this out on the AP wire prior to the weekend.

She'll just blow it out of proportion like markey. Don't trust her she's an evil journalist. j/k

This is a message from don corleone it says lucabratzi sleeps with the fishes.

Well that didn't take too long. Mamoosh was right. Way to go Coaster Sam, that was just the type of immature response Moosh was talking about.

I think it is to be taken lightly.

Hence the "j/k" at the end of his sentence.
