Nitro's seats

I've been looking at pics of Nitro, and I've gotta say, that is one sweet a** coaster.  It's like Raging Bull+Apollo's Chariot=Nitro.  Don't hold me to that though.  Anyways, I saw a picture of the seats, and on each chair, the left arm rest has a little knob thing and the restraint has something that lines up with it.  What is it?

I think it used to be a seat-belt type of thing.  But when I went back in June, they were gone.

Thanks a lot.  That answered a question I've been wanting to get off my shoulders.

It originally had a cable system that allowed larger guests to ride.  From what I heard there were some problems with it so they took them out.  If you look there are still holes in the lapbar so maybe they'll get it to work for next year.

It was a cable that connected the seat with the lap bar.  This was an extra-security measure...much like the seat belt clips on the floorless and inverted coasters as well as many other kinds of coasters.  They took the clips out because the were becoming frayed and were cutting the ride ops when they were un-hooking them for guests.
