Nitro's First Drop

Hey everyone, I just wanted to know if anyone saw the picture of Nitro's first drop from last week's Wild Rumors on Thrillride. That drop looks mega-steep, but what I noticed is that the pullout looks insane! Anyone else notice how tight that pullout looks?

I saw that picture for Nitro and I must of been mislead on the whole thing. I thought it was a B&M coaster and I have never seen a over the top drop with out the flat piece of track first.
Well, there's a first for everything. Nitro is in fact a B&M and it doesn't have a B&M dip.

(Please don't mention the fact that Oblivion and G5 also lack B&M dips. Thanks.)

Millennium is spelled with two N's ;)
I'm glad Nitro is has a normal crest and not those odd looking B&M dips on Apollo's Chariot and Raging Bull. The drop is 66 degrees. Pretty steep. Doesn't match up to SROS' 78 degree for MF's 80 degree, but 66 is still good. After the S Bend maneuver, does all it do is dive and do several bunny hops? That's kind of immitating Steel Dragon 2K, but I can see where they are coming from; the land area doesn't permit any other types of maneuvers after the S Bend.
I am really looking forward to riding the Nitro. I will be there early in the season this year. I didn't make it last year, so I still have to ride Medusa. Living 3 hours from there I alwasy wait at least a season between visits unless its something I really want to ride. Being a big fan of B&M I am sure that I'll love the Nitro. You know they wouldn't let us down.

The whole ride just looks awesome...The name NITRO...and the lift hill without the classic B+M dip makes one wonder if it may have a launch at the tip of the lift hill.....That would be really cool. But if not the ride still promises to be awesome.

I've also wondered about all that "blast" talk in the official press releases. Is there a Launched surprise instore for us all on opening day. We can only wait and see.
I dont think a blast would be on it, because I heard the "Hulk" Type boosters are very expensive to run, especially because they are high up off the ground. I thought there was a huge topic on how there is no crest-flat at the top of nitro. Overall I cant wait and Ill be there opening day!

Nitro - The Next Sphere Of Thrills!
Yes there was a huge topic about the crest, and unfortunately my question was not answered because everyone swayed back over to the subject of the no flat-piece on the top of the lift. I'll try once more. Has anyone seen how tight the pullout looks on Nitro's first drop?

Yeah... did you read the original post?

"Anyone else notice how tight that pullout looks?"
I dont know why everybodys talking about that there hapy that the dip is gone before i never heared anbody complain about the dip and now that b&M is building a coaster without a dip every body saying that they dip is old. like the dip and i think that it is one of the things that make B&M coaster stand out from others. *** This post was edited by Brandon L on 2/22/2001. ***
