Nitro on gadv map?

Hey i was just wondering what is up with nitro on the park map. It does not even look like nitro and it is only a real small piece of the coaster. What do you think?
Very true! The map has a teeny tiny piece of the lift. That it! I was dissapointed and the map wasn't even updated. Nitro was just sketeched in!

dream it, draw it, Build it on a 2X4!
why is six flags so cheap with this stuff? even the commercial for NITRO didnt have NITRO in them, not even late in the season or frightfest commercials. its so stupid, draw the ride in the funky way they draw them and get some video of it, its that simple.
*groan*  Why does it matter?  For one thing, the map is there to show people where the rides are.  The map got the job done so it doesn't matter.

As for not using Nitro in the ads, SF is not the only chain that does this.  In fact, all of the major chains do.  The average park goer doesn't know the difference.   We've been down this rode over and over and over and over.

ohhhh, soorrryyy ravenguy98. i didnt know i was supposed to review every thread imaginable.

NITRO!
Since Nitro starts at the edge of the park and runs off on a long out and back course it would be difficult to show all of it on a park map.  About 1/3 of the map would be nothing but trees (And service buildings if they showed them).  That would make everything else on the map smaller and harder to read.
If you can't find Nitro without the map, you need to make a trip to the optometrist.
Well my mom and brother dont know or keep up with coasters and they tought it was stupid that nitro didnt look like it did on the commercial. Average people do know the difference in my opinion.
A lot of it has to do with what Jim Fisher said.  It would be a waste of space to draw most or all of Nitro's track.  If you look at the 1998 map and then a map after the addition of Medusa, there are less details because Medusa sticks out farther and they decided to draw all of its track.  (To view this, visit http://www.gadv.com/map.html and scroll to the bottom left of the page)  Also you might have noticed that they didn't sell larger versions of the park map this season.  My guess is that they just quickly made the small change to accomodate Nitro but didn't bother with the larger maps because nothing else really moved (with the exception of Fantasy Fling).  With all the new upcharge attractions (including Alcatraz) and the relocation of G-Force (Scrambler) and Space Shuttle, we might be seeing a better park map for 2002.
