Is it just me or is the new TV spot for Nitro at SFGA using video footage from Goliath at SFMM? One shot shows Colossus while another shows the train making a sharp left while Nitros turn is right handed? Correct me if I'm wrong. If not, bad and false advertising on Six Flags part.
They always do that with new rides, because it saves money.
Like SM:ROS @ SFDL having loops? (viper @ SFMM)
or Silver Streak @ PCW being yellow? (RRR @ PKI)
They always do that.

PCW needs something taller than a boomerang
Yeah SFMM did it when The Riddlers Revenge came out. They used their old stand up coaster(shockwave which is now batman the escape somewhere in texas) and just made it green with computers.

May 25'Th You'll Be Seeing Deja Vu Over And Over And Over...
At least with SFGAm they showed the computer-animated version of Deja Vu, but they used S:UE for V2

The Coaster Mainframe - Models & More
I think they just tape other rides and say to themselves,"just use any coasters video here, Why shoot the real thing"
Commercial for SFNE shows SROS with a loop!!
They did that with Top Gun at PCW, They used footage of Top Gun at PGA. Everyone was like YES!! I B&M in Canada! Boy, were they ever wrong..
The new commercial that aired this weekend was in fact Nitro. The earlier one was an existing Six Flags coaster probably Goliath. Now they have the stock footage of Nitro they need look for the new commercials to be of Nitro.
SFWoA still uses Medusa footage for Batman. I find it quite funny when they show things that aren't in the park. I think it looks pretty bad on their part though.
They have so much debt, they have to cut corners someplace.

Thank you for riding America's Roller Coast
Also at their website you think that they could have used some real pictures on the coasters. Also when they show SFWOA commercial it has to be old because the Mind Erasor is there but Superman is not also the old Kiddie Land is still there.
The parks think most people are to dumb to know the difference. The people that see the commercial and deiced to come for that reason usually don't know. And if they are the kind of of person that knows they will be coming to the park already because you are coaster nut
Yep, GP is stoopid.
I saw a Carowinds comericial that had Vortex at PKI! You could even see the Beast behind it! It was funny as hell!
All of the park maps, billboards, and brochures for Dorney show Raptor with Talon's colors! They show a zero-G roll with a helix behind it!

Talon=Awesome

So much debt? If you ask me, not taking footage for new rides is just plain lazy. How much money can that cost? Unless they were airing commercials before the ride was completed, there is no excuse.
None of you mentioned one of the major reasons for using footage of other similar coasters in adds for new coasters. It takes considerable time to put together one of these adds. Parks usually want the advertisement to be on the air by the day the new coaster opens if not sooner. Using footage from another similar caoster allows them to meet their advertising deadlines.

For the new SFWoA commerical, instead od showing X-Fligt, they have the computer animation of Batwing.
And my answer to all this bickering is in the following order:
1. Who cares?
2. Does it matter?
3. Whoop-di-doo!!!
4. Big deal!
5. Oh geeeeeeeeeeee!!!!
Does it really bother you that another coaster was used for your precious ride and park? Give it a rest. This topic has been brought up many of times with Six Flags using other coasters to promote a park. If this bothers you , then you need a hobby.
