Nitro Announcement?

Anyone know when Nitro will be announced?

Even more, has ANY vertical construction started yet??

No idea when it will be announced, but I heard the lift hill is around 100'.

As was said in previous posts, the service brakes through the station brakes are complete, and the lift is approx. 100' if not a little more. This was as of a few days ago, so I'm sure it's higher now.

The announcement will be within one month (no idea when though).

Chitown, I think what they meant was that the construction of the lift hill has reached 100'.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that poster said 100' beacause that's what *I* wrote on here a few days ago. What I meant was construction has reached 100' out of the 2_ _ feet total. So the lift hill is about half way done. Is that clearer?

It will be interesting to see if B&M decides to combine Raging Bull and Apollo's Chariot to create an all new coaster layout.

Considering how Six Flags likes to clone rides, it might just be a pink version of Raging Bull.

Whose genius idea is it to not announce the coaster before major construction has taken place?

It does seem odd that they haven't officially announced this coaster yet. I wonder what the big secret is? My "guess" is that it is going to be similiar to Apollo's Chariot except a little taller and longer.

Nitro is definitely not a clone, and I'm extremely excited about that! What the world needs is another original hyper, and we're getting it.

Yeah Nitro looks awesome. It seems very odd to me why SFGAdv hasn't announced it. SFGA hasn't announced their two new rides either. Maybe these are indecisive people and they can't decide colors and themes. LOL. Hope they announce it soon I am anxious.

Anybody considered that the coaster could be a major record breaker hence the secrecy. They might be concerned in some warped Six Flags way that some other park will try to beat ths height. Nitro could bring the tallest and fastest record back to the U.S. I don't know, that's just the only logical explanation for all the secrecy that I can think of.

I don't think we are talking about a record breaker. I seem to think it will be a nice size about 250 to 275. It will be fast and smooth. I have driven by the park and you can see yellow and pink breaking though the trees. God Bless the coaster Gods.
