Nitro= 4 minute ride time?

Does Nitro really have this long of a ride time? I find it hard to believe. If it does, explain why? I know it has a mile long track but it isnt much longer then RB or AC.

Nope. 4 minutes is WAY too long. It seemed a little longer than Raging Bull, and maybe a little longer than Apollo, but if it is, it's not by much.

It is a very long ride. 4 minutes, hmmm, maybe if you count from dispatch to the time the restraints are unlatched. Actual time from crest to final brakes, 2 minutes is what it seemed like, but, I didn't time it.

Four minutes is the time of the entire ride cycle,
start to finish. From the time you are seated and
depart the station, to the time you return to the station and you exit the ride.

It's simple marketing people...

Oh great. If they are going to start the ride duration timing with being seated to exiting a ride then we are in for a treat on rides like the Beast. If this is the case, then this is the first time I have heard of a coaster including these elements in ride duration.

I timed it and from the time your train starts moving in the station to finish was 2:20, with almost half that time going up the lift hill. This is only an approximate time, may be off by a second or two. I only wish it was a 4 minute coaster!!!
Yah, Nitro is the tallest Beemer there & would take ages to get to the top. Millennium Force has a fast lift hill. If Beemers get any taller, they'll need express cable lift hills! BTW, I've always thought of the ride time from start to finish. Parks list this time as to give you the hourly ride capacity.

Nitro track length -- 5,390+ ft
Raging Bull length -- 5,057 ft
Apollo's Chariot length -- 4,882 ft

Bull takes about 3mins *exactly* from start of movement in station to complete stop in station after ride (with no stacking). I think Nitro could pull a 3:30 ride cycle, but 4min is pushing it. But like Robcoasting said, MF is the greatest coaster ever built. Oh wait, he said it's all about marketing people! ;)
