Nitro- it's amazing!!

I rode nitro this summer! It was so awsome! The first and second lift hills have the best airtime!!!! If you go, you HAVE to ride nitro!

SFGAdv is my home park and Nitro is amazing however I think Robin is better with lap bars then Nitro.
Nitro is the best B&M hyper and is only surpassed in airtime by SROS at SFNE. Nitro has some amazing airtime mixed with two unique and intense elements. Excellent ride and no doubt the best at SFGAdv.

P>itro- it's not amazing!/P>
P>FOT style="BACKGROUD-COLOR: #ffffff">ot to sound negative or anything, but i just didn't feel the airtime...i mean sure on one little part of the hills i would get bumped out of my seat but there was none of the extreme continuous air time (and not to mention awesome positive g's) like on superman:ros (sfdl).  I rode nitro in the back by the way.  Perhaps up front is better???/P>

Yeah, if you dont feel the airtime on SFNE SROS you legs broke off.
MedusaFanatic...I agree that Robin is now the best ride in the park!  Excellent!  Although I found Millennium Force and Phantom's Revenge to have more airtime.

I love Nitro along with the other 2 B&M hypers. They are my favorite ride type. The floating sensation is incredible.

I like Nitro a lot, but I don't know that I'd put it ahead of Apollo's Chariot or even Raging Bull.

Nitro does have a scary amount of airtime in the front seat.
good call Jeff.....i havent had the pleasure of riding Raging Bull yet, but Apollos Chariot by far offers more airtime than Nitro!!  and although i prefer SROS at SFA for pure speed, even it doesnt compare to Apollo for airtime...then again, with 825 feet of total drop, i guess thats pretty hard to top :)

ROLLERCOASTERS....BETTER THAN OXYGEN BABY!!!!!!
Nitro is definitely my favorite at my home park of SFGAdv. You may think this is weird, but it's like flying through the air and so relaxing!...legs outstretched, arms up high, leaning into the turns, it's almost meditative for me (well, I said you may think it weird!) I always only go for the first row, that's the smoothest and the view is unobstructed, but then again I think it's great after dark, when you're flying in total darkness.  There's not too many more opportunities to ride Nitro this year and this weekend I'm stuck having a Yard Sale!!!!  Hey, come on over and buy something or just talk coasters! Look for the yard sale signs with the smiley face.  Just kidding!!!!...if you're in NJ or close to it, go ride NITRO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

S:RoS has WAY better airtime for me...the B&M's seem to lose too much speed at the top of the hills.  I love B&M, and truly appreciate their ability to make rides smooth and enjoyable for the GP, but I prefer being THROWN from my seat...safely of course.  I did like Nitro better than AC, but I guess everyone's opinions will differ.  Nitro's view of the fall in Joisey, with the leaves turning, was excellent!  But, if you combined MF's height and speed with the airtime on S:RoS...(family-friendly site, post edited for content....;~)!

Nitro was awesome in the front seat, although I didn't get a back seat ride like I wanted too.  It was an awesome ride, my personal #2 right behind Hulk.  I love anything B&M anyway, but it was a really great ride.  Fast, smooth, and had good airtime.  I love the trains too.  I've heard that Raging Bull and even Apollo's Chariot are better, and if they are, I can't wait to ride those monsters.

Mark this day down as I'm actually about to agree with Jeff :)
Seriously though, Nitro was my least favorite of the three B&M hypers. Nitro wasn't bad at all mind you, but the airtime wasn't as good as Apollo's and the layout wasnt as interesting as Raging Bull. Everything about Nitro seemed "too big" to really *do* anything. A fun ride yes, but I have to put it in the "family hypercoaster" catagory.

Hey Chitown, please close this topic and kick both of them off the furoms (sic). 2Hostyl and Jack Daniels No 7 do not belong in these forums at all. Plus 2Hostyl seems to have a problem to complaine (sic) alot and get into it with others. - IL_MForce_Junk

I love Nitro...........but in terms of 'airtime' Apollo's Chariot is far superior!   I still have'nt rode Raging Bull.
I rode Nitro 7 times and got stacks of air - especially in row 1 and row 3. Plus the Hammerhead and s-curve are great.

I rode AC twice, both in the front and the air was no where near as good as Nitro or RB. However, the nasty ride op did staple me in, and I never rode in the back!

SROS at SFNE has more air than any steel coaster I've ridden.

the best thing about nitro was its train desighn. those trains are the best ever. the ride was pretty good. i did not feel air time
Wow, didn't really realize Nitro got such a lukewarm reaction over here. Personally, I gotta disagree with Hostyl (Hey, it had to start sometime!) on this about the "family hypercoaster." Raging Bull with the nasty trims they have this year, is MUCH more family friendly than Nitro is. Nitro takes every element with such great speed, as opposed to Bull, which is like a ballet -- L O N G periods of time between elements. There aren't very many pos. G's at all on Bull (Nevermind AC, where they're nonexistent), but Nitro has them in many spots. The helix alone is more than anything the other two have.

About airtime, I think QUANTITY, AC wins, but Nitro has air on every single hill, and it's long lasting. Not to mention, there's no long, slow helix to break up the action, such as on AC. Nitro's 2nd drop and 6th drop (the left handed twists) are enough to put it over the top for me...those elements are pure genius, and I hope B&M incorporate them on many more of their hypers. They're one of the only parts of coasters that can get scary, as long as you're not stapled in (and on either end of the train).

Okay, enough about Nitro. It's the best, end of story. ;)

Nitro, Legend, and IOA. Is there anything better?

Nitro is my all time favorite coaster.  One thing I must say is that it has gotten a lot better since the summer.  My first rides in the spring the air was ok.  During the summer it was about the same, but this fall it is unbelieveable.  The past 2 visits this thing has been an air monster, especially last saturday.  At the top of the hills, I floated out of my seat (legs hitting the harness butt off the seat) and was like that all the way to the bottom of the drop until I was kinda slammed back into my seat.  NITRO seems to be improving as the season goes on.
-----------------
IMO, Nitro is like a gigantic mine train. I don't hate it, but when I want a ride on a hyper, I'm going straight for S:ROS at SFNE.

I also think that AC is better than Nitro, it has way more air.
