Nitro

What's the word on Nitro? Will it be ready for opening day? I know there were other Nitro forums here, but they seemed to have been deleted byt whoever started them.

If it's not ready opening day then they will have big trouble!! Did you see the promotion they are doing?You can literally camp out there to win a chance to be the first to ride it.They are having z100 out there and doing prize giveaways.My husband told me tonight his job is pulling a possible overnight job there(he pours their concrete) on Wednesday night if they aren't done by wednesday morning.Our local news channel is going to have one of their reporters televise his ride on nitro i beleive during friday's newscast.If you live in ocean county and have comcast cable,watch all week channel 8 at 5:00 pm because they said you'd have to watch all week because they were going to suprise you with which day it would air live but,i really think it would be friday since they always show up anytime z100 is doing a live broadcast.

I am 100% sure Nitro will be done on time. My friend was watching CNN on friday morning, and they do this segment on "Weekend Fun". A reporter was standing next to Nitro, and it showed The trains cycling! He said it showed a long-view of the camelhumps and a view of the helix, along with the first drop. He would have taped it but he was still in bed. This is why I know it is done. And like Ricky said, they are running the commercials already!
O that reminds me - Watch the WB morning show (cant remember the name) Onn this Friday - The winners of the Nitro campout will probably be on the show! That is the reason why i think they are riding at 6 in the morning!

does anyone know the total drop footage on Nitro?

I never noticed that the Raging Bull picture is shown on the SF great adventure site.. cool!!

SFNJ seems to be the only Six Flags park getting their new ride ready on time. With the huge promotion they are doing, you can bet that it will be open. With a promotion like, they could never afford to not have it ready on time.

The first drop is 215 feet, I don't know if that's what you wanted to know or not.

How do you get to Nitro? Do you go past congo rapids or do you go between the batman ride and the stuntshow?

The entrance is to the right of Congo rapids but,a little closer to the loony toons seaport.In other words,not quite as far back as congo rapids.

I mean the total amount of drop feet. AP has 825 feet of drops, and I was wondering if Nitro will beat that.

I was watching my local news In Portage Michigan!!! and they show a segment about Nitro being built and i think a picture of it finished, they also intervied a guy talking about it, then they showed MF, I thought that was cool and Nitro looked really cool, My home park is Six Flags Great America and can't wait to our new rides and wished they did a segment on that, Raging Bull is the best!
