I'll find out this weekend what they have in the gift shop... maybe get a little "word on the street" if this is some kinda type-o or not. I mean, GreatEscape & SplashwaterKingdom has their own logo, so it's gotta be corporate that just whipped together those shirts.

Wooden Cyclone: Nightmare is a Schwarzkopf Jet Star built indoors.

When we were there in 2000 we waited about an hour and a half to ride yet everything else in the park was walk on. I did the mathback then and I believe I figured the hourly capicity to less than 100 per hour. 2 cars 2 people per car. Why can't they run more than the two cars they are using. The original called for 10 cars later cut back to 8. Even with 2 per train that would still help the capicity. Here's a link to the Jet Star stats and Pictures: http://schwarzkopf.coaster.net/OKjetstarGF.htm

Maybe for the walkway they will do the Kennywood thing and build the underground tunnel under the road.

I liked GE when I was there. My only complaint was them closing the Comet area of the Park at 6 when the rest of the park closed at 9. :(

You know why? Those rich bastards or stuck up neighbors who live really close... they don't like the "noise" the park generates and the lights that go on during the evening, so they have to close the park early.

It sucks, but it's probably one of the only parks that (especially corporate owned) closes very early. The neighbors don't like the noise, and they cooperated to have the park shut down early... in the back first because that's closest to the NIMBY neighbors. Sad thing is... that park's been there longer than DisneyWorld (or is it Disney Land)... didn't the people who moved into there think for a moment that it'd maybe become a big attractive theme park in the future??

Man, this is one reason I sincerely hate NIMBY jerks.

Last time I was there the park closed at 6. I'm going this Sunday and I was hoping to ride the Comet at night. Are you saying that this is not possible?
Sorry NewYork Superman, didn't mean to "snip." I just know the facts and want to prove it. I didn't just hear this and post it. I know what's going on and I got the information from a reliable source. Also, I think the whole idea about taking the Nightmare out to make room for a new ride is rediculous. That doesn't even make sense.
Jet Stars don't really stay put very long do they

Aughhh look out there are Mice all around

It's not going anywhere!?!? Besides, there is not enough room to put a new coaster where the nightmare is.
