Nice Holiday Greeting From PKD

I got this in an email from PKD and thought it was really nice. :)

Do You Hear Coasters When It Snows?

Are We There Yet?
So now you can rip up the e-mail and throw it at them screaming, "It wasnt from the heart!!!" ;)

There are no bad coasters, only better coasters!!

In terms of *feedback*, I was thinking more along the lines of.....get your wooden coasters some frakin' MAINTENANCE so that your chain has something ranked higher than 47....;)

Oh, and Happy Holidays! :)

What? no Tomb Raider updates yet?

Actually Gator PKD has quite a fine selection of wood to choose from(save for maybe one or two),Rebel yell just needs to have it's backwards train run forward again & Hurler just needs to be scrapped....no wait burned to the ground.

About the only other thing needed at PKD is for them to lighten up on the trims/MCBR's on their steel but other than the above mentioned items just about everything else about the park is just right by me.

I still don't get the hatred towards Hurler, but then again, I still don't get any kind of affinity for the Beast or SoB. Oh well ;)

What trims exactly are you referring to BFSFA? FoF's is on pretty hard (near stop), but if I remember right, the only other steel with an MCBR is Anaconda, which I'm very happy is on so hard, otherwise no one would be concious by the end, and nothing else has trims. Which trims and MCBRs are you referring to then?

Those are the two rides in question regarding the overly aggressive use of tims(in the form of MCBR's)....don't forget Ricochet has trims as well, but on the two trips I've taken since it opened they havn't been used.

Avalanche has an MCBR as well but unlike FOF or Anaconda it's not applied with so much force so as to halt the train entirely,by slowing Anaconda to a dead stop on the MCBR it makes the 2nd half of the ride ohh so very boring....more like a slow crawl back to the station.

The thing takes the corkscrews so darn slow it's amazing that it hasn't vallied there yet....at least FOF gets going again after it's encounter in the MCBR.

BFSFA, backward Rebel Yell is one of the most amazing experiences there is on a wooden coaster....forward side is always rougher, lol. as far as the MCBR on Avalanche, its rarely activated because the coaster is blocked for up to 5 trains, but NEVER runs that many....usually 2 or 3, so the MCBR isnt needed. Anaconda is pretty rough with the braking, but ive ridden it without...and it hurts, lol. i actually love the slow corkscrew, i think its really cool. and yes....no more hatin on Hurler....thats a wicked fun ride!!! :)

still trying to think of a good signature...

Yeah I got that too, interesting how we're suppose to hear coasters when it snows, but it doesn't snow here in Silicon Valley.

Love the shuttle woodie though (no return track?), except for cutting off before the drop. Graphics look alot like that addicting coaster game:

Was Paramount poking fun at us? Notice how the snowmen put hats on AFTER they were dispatched? A clear violation of park policy if I'm not mistaken. ;)

A day at the park is what you make it!

They didn't show what happens after the drop because that coaster is quite clearly Son of Beast. It's supposed to be a *pleasant* greeting, not a horror flick!
