Next coaster to get RMCized

I just heard that Roar west will be the next lucky contestant to get the RMC Hybrid treatment. While Roar has gone to turds over the years, I was thinking that Boss would be the next deserving coaster. At least Roar has really good trains, but just bad upkeep. Thoughts?

One of the very few wooden coasters I've ever ridden that I truly disliked.

Hard to believe I'd say this about anything since Hercules....

Hmm....first GCI to get RMC'd if true. Interesting...

I think we're past "if true."

We know RMC had an ad looking for people to work "in CA." We know historically the RMC'd rides at SF parks have been closed early for the season, initially without mention of them coming back as new rides. We know Roar was announced as closing early for the season just yesterday. No other wooden coasters in CA are closing as far as we know now.

The only better choice IMO would be Ghostie....but there's been no word on that, and CF has yet to work with RMC.

I kind of agree with him, too, but of the four wooden coasters that have so far had an RMC makeover, none of them rode exceptionally well (I'd argue Texas Giant did, at least for me in 2002, but I know plenty of others who would disagree). I'm not sure there's anything to be concerned about until maybe a ride like Phoenix gets RMC'd.

RMC all the things!

Roar is the last Six flags coaster to get the iron horse treatment and the last coaster RMC is doing for SF. They have one going into dollywood and the redo of kentucky kingdoms racer. In 2017 rmc will have a coaster open in Dubai and those are the only coasters they have contracts for.

I think cyclone at luna park should get RMC'd.

Please don't take this seriously

I think Mean Streak is a good candidate for RMC.

I think Son of Beast is a good candidate for RMC... oh, wait.

... or Maverick.

I think Leap The Dips is a good candidate for RMC.

CI Cyclone? In all seriousness, though, I would like to see RMC's take on a Cyclone layout. Too bad Psyclone and TX Cyclone are gone. Maybe Viper at SFGAm. could be a candidate (though when I rode it a decade ago, it was a very good ride).

TX Cyclone was too good for RMC....and Viper is *really* well maintained.

Psyclone was too evil (and needed to be destroyed lest its evil contaminate any ride made from its corpse).

I'm sure this isn't a surprise, but Kentucky Kingdom announced 'Storm Chaser' which is RMCing 'Twisted Twins.

While I know it's not entirely accurate, I'm pretty sure it would look a lot like Goliath. (SFGrAm)

*EDIT* Wicked Cyclone... As I believe the original Riverside Cyclone was a replica, or at the very least "inspired by."

I'd like to see the Cyclone replica *without* inversions....just a massive festival of airtime and laterals...

Maybe not if you worked for RMC. :)

(I mostly agree too)

I agree that Mean Streak would be a great candidate! It is fairly similar to the Texas Giant, and I think if it did get the treatment, It would probably be one of the better rides in the park. Though I rode it in 2012, and was surprised that it wasn't horrible. Though you can bet if it gets re-tracked, you can say goodbye to the 15 minute waits, and hello to 3 hours.

I don't think Viper at Great America needs an RMC redesign right now. As far as I'm concerned, it's one of the best coasters there. (I have not been on Goliath yet) If they redesign anything there with RMC, it should be the Eagle. Get rid of that bumpy, slow as molasses helix, an maybe turn it into a mantis-like inclined inversion, leading into a second roll inversion, then reconnect with the old design.

It's too bad the coasters at Geauga Lake are no longer running. I would think the Bobs would have been the perfect candidate for RMC, with inversion mania. But, the Big Dipper re-racked in its original form would have been sweet.

I didn't do it! I swear!!
