Hey does anyone have any recent news from SFSTL? hopefully I can go next weekend or the weekend after that. I am hoping to see some ride peices or something in the graveyard. Why do we have so many paths? It seems like it would be very easy to get lost at SFSTL if you didn't know the way around! Maybe we can rip up some of those paths and place a few rides there! Also, it seems like we have a few large paths that don't really serve that much of a purpose. For example, right outside of the Batman entrance. It seems to me that the big paved area there doesn't really need to be there. Well, here is what I am getting at. Maybe we could put some rides over those paths like they did with the Turbo Bungee. I think we could even sqeeze in another ride next to Turbo Bungee, over where the Batmobile used to be. Another place where we could place a ride is where the big "DC" is outside of Mr. Freeze. I noticed at SFEG, that their drop ride doesn't seem to take up much land space (including the queue), so maybe we could put a drop ride there! Also, maybe we could put a ride in that little shaded area back by the ampitheater. But, I'm not sure if I would really want that because that is a very nice shady area. Please reply with your thoughts! Thanks!

Hmmm, what's the dealli-o with the space behind Batman and the Joker themed boat? Is that useable park space?

Ya know, if they moved Joker to behind the swings, and demolished Ninja, and built over the mine train, they would have enough room for a really sweet hyper, stand up, 4D, floorless thrust-air, but if pigs had wings.... :)
Just a couple of G-force junkies!

They can’t demolish the Ninja – I love that ride…
Things have been fairy quiet so far this year – no new ride pieces or construction to be seen. The SROS clone rumor has been going around for some time now, but I wouldn’t hold my breath (it would be sweet, however…)
I would expect if we get anything new next year, it would be small – a flat ride or maybe
a drop tower. Considering that this year (the park’s 30th anniversary) we got nothing… combined with recent national events… the outlook for next year doesn’t look too good.
But, I almost forgot… we actually got THREE new attractions this season – the mechanical bull, the virtual reality Pirates show / game, and the Turbo Bungee (which hasn’t opened yet…)

Actually, I did see some kind of peices in like April I think. I think people have said they look like peices from a Vekoma Air Jumper. I am really hoping we don't just get one new ride or whatever. I would like a Drop Ride, rethemed Castaway, and maybe 2 or 3 flats. But who knows if that will happen. :-)

Of what I have heard SFStL will be getting a couple of flat rides. There were rumors of S:ROS but I hear that has been either scrapped or pushed back a year.

I think Mr. Freeze might get lap bars because of the sucsess of Chiller.

This is the newest from screamscape...
"2002 - Rumor - (9/5/2001) Our latest source claims the coaster rumors are off and the park will only add three minor attractions next season. A new flat ride described as having two arms that will flip you upside down, a mini steam train, and an unknown third"
The mini train doesen't seem to make sense - they already have a kiddie train and a real steam train

I agree, why do we need another train? I don't really see the point of it. I think there are plenty of places to place flat rides in the park, we should use them!
