News for 8/19 forthcoming

I'm sure some of you have submitted news stories over the weekend and in the last day or two. I haven't had a lot of solid Internet access to get on it, but I'll try to do so tonight and post some stuff.

And incidentally, I'm in Fort Myers. While exciting for a northerner, Fay was largely a disappointment for me.

Were you hoping Fay was a Cat. 5 storm? You don't want to be anywhere near one of those.

You were located on the west side of the storm which is the good side to be on. Being only an hour north of you in Sarasota, we didn't even get rain from this. Just some wind.

My favorite MJ tune: "Billie Jean" which I have been listening to alot now. RIP MJ.

Just visited our summer (winter?) house in Seminole this past week. I was a bit disappointed I didn't stay for the show. I love watching weather. Actually, while we were down there some funnel clouds touched down not too far from my place near Chicago. I'm dodging this stuff like the Matrix...

Did I say I wanted a cat 5? I just wanted to take a picture of myself standing in 50 mph wind like Jim Cantore and then get my ass back inside.

Yeah, Fay was wimpy. Atleast I got a day off.
Never said you wanted a Cat 5. That is why I asked.

If you want to stand out in 50mph winds with rain, you can easily get a pic of yourself doing that in Ohio with a strong thunderstorm.

Jim Cantore stands only in 150mph winds. :)
