News: Whalom to refund Whale Money

That is a bummer. :(

They really didn't get to detailed on why they are giving up. Were they told they have no shot of getting the park back? Is another Wal-Mart in the future of this property?

My favorite MJ tune: "Billie Jean" which I have been listening to alot now. RIP MJ.

From the looks of the park this past summer, I had a feeling that it's days were numbered. Most of the rides were gone when I was there, the new england winters were really hard on the place.

I really wish those were season passes instead of refund checks as well

This really makes me bummed out. I worked in a park in Indiana that went bankrupt. It was soon turned into a waterpark. Some of the orginal buildings are still there. Still, it makes me sad to see any park go under. Who knows though, maybe there is still hope for Walom.

My Beautiful wife, Julia, is the best thing that has ever happened to me!

There could be hope, I just think that the Bowens are realizing that the "whales" effort, while a beautiful idea, was not the way to go. I hope that something else works- too many traditional parks are either gone or are on their way!

After the ACE newsletter arrived, I was just beginning to feel hopeful again....:(

I'm afraid this may be a sign that the Bowens are giving up the fight.....but I sure hope not!

You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)

It doesn't seem that way, and Allison has been pretty straightforward with enthusiasts up until this point, so I'm hoping that is still the case and they are indeed going to pursue other options to save the park.

What's left to save, that is.

I think they should not give up maybe some wealthy park lover will come and buy it you never no

GO WHALOM PARK

Lets just hope its not Michael Jackson.

If I only I were rich... but then again, if I were, there are quite a few parks that I'd keep my eye on for sentimental reasons.

That is so sad to hear. I never had a chance to visit the park but I heard so many positive things about it.
