New York State Fair

I am heading up to the NY State fair sunday 8/26/07 and wondering if anyone has been up to see the midway yet? I am planning my budget, and don't want to take too much cash is we are not going to bother with rides.

I can say last year the only appealing rides were the Top Spin and KMG Fireball, as it seems that even though they travel by train Strates is no longer the king of the miday. (I say this as they no longer bring the roller coaster, flume, sky wheel, sky diver, huss pirate or rainbow, all of which used to make this show awsome.)
